THE HAUNTED MANSION

THE BOOK'S STORY...

This is the story which was written in the book, John was reading it out loud with all his horror story telling skills....

There was a boy named James bacon, a 17 year old high school student who lived with his aunt Marry, because his parents passed away in a car accident when he was just 10 years old.

One day,while walking home with his friends- Alex, Tommy and Robert (his brother more than a best friend). They were discussing the 'Ravenwood haunted mansion' on the outfit of the town a mile away.
"Want to explore it? it would be fun."James asked.
" I don't know guys,that place has a bad reputation." Robert hesitated.

James was intrigued,"Oh, come on guys, it'll be fun,only rumours can't scare us."
All the friends refused,warning them of the danger.

"I knew that you would be chickening out, that's why we'll go by ourselves."said John.
"I know the way."Tommy nodded.

As they approached the mansion, tommy grew nervous. It was almost midnight and the surroundings were getting spookier as time passed.
"Guys,this is a bad idea." Tommy whispered."People say strange things happen here." James dismissed his concern-"it's just an old house and rumours."

The mansion loomed before them, covered in dust,web and dry leaves.The walls have become so old that they turned green due to moss.A cold breeze ruslted the pine trees to make an eerie sound.
At the entrance there was a massive 10-feet tall door.Made with dark oak hardwood.Ancient designs were encrypted on the door.

Tommy was a history lover,out of curiosity he touched the door.As soon as he touched it ,the humungous thing opened on its own.

They stepped inside to explore, they have already travelled so far and are not going back. Before they could get properly inside the door slammed shut behind them.

The curiosity to explore and lust of being famous,blinded them ,they couldn't even realise the fact that they were trapped there forever.

James' jaw dropped when he exclaimed "This is hugeee......"

"Yeah, but this is getting more dangerous guys,can't you see the door automatically closed by itself.isn't it scary, you still think that these are just rumours."said Robert nervously.

" Oh, Robert you think more than you breath,bro. Just feel the vibe. Don't you think this is the opportunity for us to get fame, as nobody in this town has done this before."

" Feel the vibe,my foot! This feels like the worst nightmare. Are you blind or what? Can't you see,we are trapped here."
James and Robert were so busy in their argument, that they didn't even realise the fact that Tommy was missing from there.

They planned that James will search the first floor and Robert the basement, both turn on the torches of their phones and then search the ground floor together, started the search for their dear friend.
After searching the ground floor they found no sign of Tommy.

And finally decided to part away and search for him in the different directions, as they decided for the first floor and the basement.
Robert saw some stairs heading downwards towards basement. He is slowly in carefully step towards the basement until he reached the door. The door was old enough, that the log of the door was rusted and jammed.

He pushed hard and kicked but the door didn't move a bit then he finally gave up and decided to call James for help. He turned around and started ascending steps to the stairs. He hardly stepped three stairs, and suddenly the door opened at his back with a very creeky sound.
Just a minute ago he was pushing and kicking the door so hard,but it didn't Budge a little, but just after he turned to go,an invisible blow of air opened it. Thinking of it, out of curiosity, he stepped inside and it was his last mistake.

As soon as he entered,the door locked immediately. He panicked and started screaming-" James- James ,save me!, I am stuck, I am locked here."he was so scared that his brain stopped working.
He just forgot that he was holding his phone for flash. He started running here and there to find an exit, but it was all locked, there was not a single entrance except the main gate itself,not even a single window. Suddenly,he heard a mild sound of anklets-'chhann- chhann, chhann- chhann' which was becoming louder every second.

Before he could get more terrified, he gathered himself to his senses, he realised that he had to contact James at any cost, he calmed down and started running towards the basement door as fast as an ostrich,while running he gained some attention towards the source of flash and he was filled with the most idiot feeling ever. He was so panicked by the situation to notice his phone in his hand."WTF! I am the most fucking idiot here."he screamed in frustration.

After reaching towards the door he quickly dialed James number,he picked up-"hello, Robert ,where the hell are you?I am not able to find you anywhere.""save-me,James,I am stuck in the basement,James-James,hello?"Robert said in a breaking voice."hello? Robert what happened? oh shit! fuck."James panicked and immediately rushed to the basement running as fast as he could.
When he reached the floor,he was confused and panicked about knowing that all the doors and the corridors looked alike.

He was so confused and panicked that he went towards every door and started to bang on each door with his full strength."Robert, please,open the door this is not fun, this is so stuff for getting I can't even brief with this stress in my heart that you are in danger please come out I am beg you please stop this stupid prank of caring me I am already scared to that James screamed while crying in fear.

Meanwhile , Robert-
" Oh! fucking hell! damn it! the battery is dead . Shit man,what do i do now?" robert shouted in frustration he wanted to get out from this scary hell as early as possible.
He wanted James to know that he was here,as he remembered that all the doors and corridors looked alike, just like a maze.
He started banging the door ruthlessly, and started screaming for his life in the hope that james could come to save him.

James still wasn't able to find him, until he saw some strange stairs heading downwards, in hope that he could find his friend here, he ran towards it ,he heard a very dim sound of robert was coming, begging and screaming for his life.
He got more energy and ran his life out to say this friend.

When he reached the dead end, he saw a very old door of the basement was there.it looked creepy, he immediately started banging on a door, tried to open it but failed. After listening to his friend's voice his life once again came into Robert's almost dead and exhausted body. He stood up and started banging the door from his side.
A strange silence filled the place, Robert heard a very soft but sweet voice calling his name from the back of the room, from the dark. And slowly becoming louder with the sound of the anklet- 'chhann- chhann, chhann-chhann', and the voice came near his ear,seducing him,almost hypnotizing him.

There were so many holes in the door, so James decided to peak into the basement from one of the holes, and next thing is he saw that Robert was silently standing there, making a very satisfied face as if someone was seducing him, while watching this,he got scared and started screaming his name so that he can Robert can come to his senses, Robert suddenly opened this eyes in shock, He was about to run but someone tapped his shoulder gently,he is slowly turn around and suddenly...........
