Amethio slowly and cautiously opened one eye after the other. However, he quickly closed his left eye again and immediately placed his hand over it. Despite the gloves he always wore, he felt a wound above his eye, which forced him to open both eyes. "Where am I?" he asked himself. He was lying on a hospital bed but couldn't move his head because it caused pain in his eye.
"Oh, you're awake," someone said beside him. It was Mollie, who was sorting medications. "What happened? Why am I here?" he asked Mollie angrily, though he winced from the pain in his eye. "Calm down," Mollie replied, slightly annoyed, "It'll only get worse if you don't." "I want to know what's going on!" Amethio demanded, raising his voice.
Suddenly, the door opened. Thanks to his left eye, through which he saw only blurry images, Amethio couldn't immediately tell who had entered. It was Friede with Captain Pikachu, who walked into the room. "Oh, you're awake," Friede noted. Immediately, after seeing Friede, Amethio grabbed his Poké Ball and tried to sit up. However, he was horrified to find that Ceruledge' Poké Ball was empty. "Where is Ceruledge?" he shouted, more out of fear than anger. Ceruledge emerged from the shadows of the room to reassure him.
"What happened?" he asked, still confused but angry. "You were hit by an attack from Umbreon, which caused the injury to your eye. Liko called us," Friede explained. "What injury to my eye?" Amethio asked, as if he hadn't yet realized the pain. Mollie handed him a mirror. Amethio was shocked by what he saw. His left eye was no longer purple but a mix of pink and rose, and a slit-like wound that hadn't fully healed ran across it. In shock, he dropped the mirror, and it shattered. The pieces were immediately collected and disposed of by Chansey.
"You'll have to stay with us for a few days so I can treat your wound," Mollie said. "I'm not staying here!" Amethio stated loudly and angrily, but once again winced from the pain in his eye. "Either that, or the pain will persist, and you might go blind in that eye," Mollie said, annoyed by his resistance.
Ceruledge stepped closer to Amethio, gazing at him intently and sympathetically, as if silently asking him to accept treatment. "Fine, I'll stay," Amethio said, defeated, lowering his head slightly. "Good. Then follow me," Friede tried to cheer him up, gesturing for him to come along.
When Amethio tried to stand, the pain in his eye shot through his body again. Mollie's Chansey offered to help him, but he declined the assistance. Finally, when Amethio was standing, Ceruledge and he followed Friede. Friede led them down a hallway with several doors on each side. They stopped in front of one door, which was made of wood, and Friede said, "This will be your room for now." Amethio opened the door. Inside was a clean, tidy room. A neatly folded white blanket lay on the bed. The round window on the opposite wall surely offered a beautiful view during the day, but even at night, the view wasn't bad, as countless stars sparkled in the sky. Just like now. Despite the room's pleasant qualities, Amethio, still feeling down, entered without saying another word, followed by Ceruledge, and closed the door behind him. Friede left.
On their way to the room, they were stopped by Liko, Roy, and Dot. "Why are you still awake? It's already late," Friede asked with mild sternness. "We just wanted to know what's going on," Roy replied. The others agreed. "Well, Amethio is now in the room prepared for him and probably resting. I don't know much about him, but what I do know is that Amethio is not at all happy with his situation," Friede answered, his voice full of pity for Amethio. "And what about his injury?" Liko asked with concern. "It's worse than we thought. Amethio's entire left eye has changed color. But you know Mollie. She'll fix it," Friede tried to reassure them.
They weren't fully reassured, but they also knew there was nothing more they could do or ask at the moment. They would have to wait until the next day. So, Liko, Roy, and Dot each went to their rooms and fell asleep with a sense of unease.
