The door of the conference room opens and Reid walks in, looking like absolute shit. Well, I mean as in sick, not bad looking. I can despise his personality and his rambling and all his other annoying habits all I want, but his looks have never been the problem. I'd maybe date him if he wasn't such an absolute douchebag.

Don't even think about it.

Right now though, he looks like a junkie high on crack. "Late night, pretty boy?" Morgan smirks at Reid, who just rolls his eyes and focuses on Penelope, who's presenting the case. Oh I'm sure Reid had a late night, but it's not what Morgan thinks.

"Alright, my beautiful profilers, here's our cup of tea for the day. Three victims, all women, mid-to-late twenties, found in Cincinnati parks. Each bound and posed in koi ponds, and cause of death asphyxiation."

Emily is the first to react: "Any signs of sexual assault?"

Penelope shakes her head with a serious expression written on her face. "None that we could find. I guess this unsub has some lines he doesn't cross."

She clicks on her remote to show the crime scene photos and a map with the locations marked.
"Victim one, Sarah Trent, discovered two weeks ago at Over-the-Rhine Park. Victim two: Danielle Flores, found five days later in Eden-Park. And lastly, victim three: Lucy Harper, just two nights ago at Smale Riverfront Park. The time between the kills is shrinking, which means we've got less than 72 hours before he finds another victim."

She pulls up images of dating app profiles.

"All three women were active on dating apps, and guess what? They were all married! Right before they went missing, they were all ghosted by someone they matched with. The unsubs accounts are burners, but I traced some activity to a coffeeshop within five miles from where the victims were found. Looks like we've got ourselves a socially awkward predator with a latte habit."

I nod instinctively, agreeing with every word she says. When I look over to Reid, he seems to be listening intently too, despite the bags beneath his eyes, he's wide awake, his genius mind probably analyzing every word Penelope spoke.

"Garcia, cross-check their profiles and any other shared traits. Focus on the coffee shop; he's been very careful so far, but he'll slip up. As for the rest of you, wheels up in 20." With that, Hotch stands up and everybody else follows his example.
