Before I start this I want to let you know how LAZY I am, I am heavily fixated on Reigen Arataka, so I'll be updating worryingly frequently, Not sure how many chapters this'll be. I have everything planned out, don't think this is just me going on a whim. If lines change, if i add more I'll put the draft number at the top of the chapter

"Oh! You work too much doll, you deserve a break!" A woman with short brown hair and purple attire spoke, her gentle face creased with age. Pearls gleaming in the office light.

"Ah.. You think so?" I mumbled back, closing the document of work I'd graciously attempted to finish before work ended, tired eyes raised up to meet that woman's gaze. I wouldn't call the two of us 'friends' barely even acquaintances, really. Just two co-workers. Yet, the caring woman she was, always looked out for me, even if she was a little unsettling at times.

"Oh dear.. Are you getting enough sleep? A man approached me yesterday and gave me this card, saying he had a 'miracle working futon'! I'm sure it'll fix your sleep. And it's only 1,200 yen!" Unannounced she took a seat beside my desk. There goes that plan of working for the next hour. The office was small, not busy. Yet it put food on the table, paid for the apartment. Nothing to complain about.

"My sleeps fine, thank you." I couldn't help but be kind towards the woman. I know deep down she means the best, her motherly worry, how she was practically old enough to be my own mother. How strange to think about.

"Aw, c'mon. You need to break, dear! Why don't we get drinks after work? It's a very quiet, reserved bar, y'know!" Man, she really knew how to push my buttons. A quiet and reserved night at a bar? Sounded like absolute heaven.

"Yeah, yeah, fine. You know I don't drink though." I caved, head tilting to meet her gaze. Eyes lighting up as she clasped her hands together like a mother finding out her daughter finally got married.
