The morning after Virat's late-night visit, a sense of unease lingered in the Sharma household. The revelation of a potential rogue element orchestrating their torment was unsettling. While Virat's apology had sparked a glimmer of understanding, it wasn't enough to dispel months of fear and anger.

Ritika sat at the dining table, staring out the window. The view of their modest London neighborhood, usually a source of solace, now felt fragile, like it could crumble at any moment.

"Do you think he was sincere?" she asked Rohit, who was making breakfast.

Rohit flipped a pancake and sighed. "Maybe. Virat looked wrecked, like someone finally realizing the damage they caused. But sincerity doesn't erase what's happened."

Their conversation was interrupted by a soft knock at the door. Both froze, exchanging wary glances. After everything, even the simplest sounds now set their nerves on edge.

"I'll get it," Rohit said, wiping his hands.

He peeked through the peephole, his posture relaxing slightly. It was Detective Collins.

"Detective," Rohit said, opening the door. "What brings you here so early?"

Collins stepped inside, his expression grim. "I wish I had better news."

Collins sat them down in the living room, his usual professional demeanor clouded with concern.

"We've identified a connection between the smear campaign targeting your family and a series of recent security breaches," he began.

"Security breaches?" Ritika asked, her voice laced with apprehension.

"Yes," Collins confirmed. "We've intercepted messages indicating that whoever is behind this has accessed private information about your movements, your legal strategies, and even your daily routines."

Ritika's blood ran cold. "Are you saying they've hacked us?"

"Not exactly," Collins replied. "It seems more like someone within your immediate network—someone with access to this information—is leaking it. We're investigating, but it's clear your situation has escalated."

Rohit leaned forward, his hands clenched into fists. "Do you know who it is?"

"Not yet," Collins admitted. "But we suspect it's someone with a vested interest in keeping you vulnerable. My advice is to limit contact with anyone outside your trusted circle and consider additional security measures."

The news left them shaken. After Collins left, Ritika and Rohit sat in silence, trying to process what they'd just heard.

"Who could it be?" Ritika finally asked. "We've been so careful."

Rohit rubbed his temples. "I don't know. But it has to be someone who knows us well enough to access this kind of information. Someone we trusted."

The realization hit like a gut punch. Every friendship, every professional relationship, now felt like a potential threat.
