18TH BIRTHDAY

Taehyung is sleeping on the sofa, breathing softly with his slightly parted mouth.

The room is shadowy with a dim yellow lamp.

He has fallen asleep in the middle of watching his cartoon,both the best friend duo watched at least 25 episodes before taehyung was finally yawning and got tired and fell asleep on the sofa, beside his jiminie.

The TV is off now.But jimin is nowhere to be seen, it's only taehyung who is sleeping on the sofa in the living room.

"Hello uncle namjoon taehyung is finally sleeping, I'll start my preparations now.You guys bring everything I told you." Jimin cuts the call and goes back inside the living room where taehyung is sleeping.

He looks at taehyung with a sad smile. "Happy birthday my angel even though how happy you're I can't make out."

After putting a blanket over taehyung's body,jimin makes his way upstairs inside taehyung's room.He opens one specific drawer taking out the packets of balloon and other decoctions from it.

He bought all these while he was outside yesterday and this morning while he came to pick up taehyung,he put all those inside his drawer for later use.

He agrees that their day wasn't a very pleasing one but how can he forget his taehyung's birthday?No matter what happens he can never forget that.

Jimin gets on with his work.He decorates taehyung's room with multicolored balloons and some birthday banner saying 'Happy Birthday Angel.'

After working some more on arranging the decorations everywhere around the room,jimin gets down from the small stool and dusts his hands.

He nods to himself in satisfaction.The room is looking pretty good.

Jimin is busy admiring his work when the doorbell rings loudly, making jimin jump a little.

"Who is it at this hour? Taehyung's parents are supposed to be back after an hour though."Jimin leaves taehyung's room, walking towards the front gate.

When jimin unlocks the door,he finds no one there.He is about to close the door but then sees a bouquet of rosses lying in front of the door.

Not any ordinary roses.Black roses.

"Eh?black roses? aren't they the most rarer species in the world?who the heck put them here?" He steps outside and checks both side of the house for anyone but it turns out to be empty.Weird.

So jimin takes the bouquet from down and tries to see if there's any name or note attached to the bouquet from the one who might have sent these black roses.

There is indeed.

'Happy Birthday Taehyung.'

"That's all?" Jimin scratches his head in confusion, that's all what is written on the note and the name of the sender is also not written.

"Maybe it's a surprise gift from someone."He goes back inside the house with a bouquet of black roses in his hands.

At first jimin contemplates whether he should take the bouquet of black roses inside with him or not but at last he takes it thinking what harm can some flowers carry?He doesn't give it much thought.

He put the bouquet on a table where all the other prepared gifts are also waiting to be unwrapped by the birthday boy,Kim Taehyung.Taehyung doesn't have many friends except for jimin so he prefers a much intimate celebration nowadays, only with parents and his best friend.
