3RD PERSON
(narrative)Nika and Rylee were sitting on the couch in Rylee's dorm room, a shared plate of spicy wings between them. The room smelled of tangy buffalo sauce and fried chicken, and they were both enjoying the rare moment of peace, surrounded by the faint hum of distant campus life. Nika laughed as she reached for another wing, trying to wipe the sauce from her fingers, but failing miserably.
"Seriously, you need to teach me how to eat wings without making a mess," Nika said, grinning as she wiped her face with a napkin.
Rylee raised an eyebrow, glancing over at her. "You're cute when you're messy," she teased, nudging Nika with her elbow. "I think it's part of your charm."
Nika rolled her eyes but couldn't help but smile. "I swear, I'm starting to think you just like making fun of me."
"Oh, I do," Rylee said with a wicked grin. She leaned back on the couch, clearly enjoying the easy atmosphere. "But I think you secretly like it."
Nika shook her head, but there was no hiding the blush creeping up her neck. They had spent most of the afternoon together, the quiet camaraderie between them something Nika had grown fond of. Rylee's teasing, though, was another matter—Nika could never quite figure out how to deal with it.
Just as she took another bite, Rylee's phone buzzed on the coffee table. She glanced at it, picking it up and frowning slightly at the screen.
"It's Sasha," Rylee said, her voice laced with surprise. "She's calling me at the weirdest time."
Nika arched an eyebrow. "What's going on?"
Rylee swiped the screen and put it on speaker, lifting it between them as she took another bite of her wings.
"Sasha," Rylee said, mouth half-full, "What's up?"
"Hey Ry-Ty!" Sasha's voice boomed through the speaker. "You should come over to the dorm village tonight! We're all hanging out and we miss our baby girl Nika because you've stolen her from us" Aubrey's voice echos through the phone.
Rylee exchanged a look with Nika, who raised her eyebrows. "I'll see you both soon. Bring some wings if you can!" With that, the call ended abruptly.
Rylee looked at Nika with a mischievous glint in her eye. "Well, I guess we're headed to your dorm now."
Nika chuckled softly, a playful glint in her own eyes. "You're lucky I don't mind, Rylee. I didn't even know the team was planning a get together."
"Yeah, neither did I," Rylee said, standing up and stretching. "But we can always go crash the party. You never know what Sasha's up to."
As they grabbed their jackets and started heading out, Rylee couldn't resist the urge to tease Nika. She slid her arm around Nika's waist as they walked toward the door, and with a sly smile, she leaned in and whispered, "So... about earlier today..."
