WALKING DOWN THE STAIRS TO THE ABANDONED STATION, I heard a continuous cry. A strain. With my eyebrows furrowed, I descended the last couple of steps and saw a body on the floor, spasming violently before stilling, a long cry escaping their lips.

"Can't I be gone for a minute without you damaging someone? Mentally and/or physically." I retorted, but as I turned the rusty column, my sarcastic grimace dropped.

Jackson laid on the dirty floor, eyes wide open and mouth agape as saliva dripped down his chin.

Isaac, Erica and Derek all stood in front of him, watching his limp body with troubled gazes. A mixture of worry and various questions etched upon their scrunched up faces. I stood next to Isaac, folding my arms in front of my chest, tilting my head while watching the sight.

"I never understood contemporary art, to be honest." I murmured, making their gazes turn to me, Isaac holding a small smile on his face.

Derek merely sighed, taking several steps towards Jackson and crouching in front of him.

"You're still a snake, Jackson." He commented, the broken piece of mirror in his grasp standing proud like a kitchen knife, "Just not the one we're looking for."

While Derek walked away, Isaac moved up to him, the same smile from my previous comment still on his face.

"You're still gonna have to do one more thing for us." He whispered, "Well, actually, for me." With that he looked back up at me and winked.

Excuse me?

He stood up as Jackson looked around in fright.
