Two months later after uploading the last part. It's so emotional and I never imagined it's so hard to write about the experiences from Vienna. Also it's weird that the tour is gonna end next week and also sad, but I'm no longer as interested as I might have been if the cancelled concerts had taken place.
So one month after watching the movie.
The European leg of the ERAS TOUR started on 8th of May 2024 - three months before my birthday and one day before my show on 9th of August 2024.
Since the ERAS TOUR kicked off the European leg I had been watching all the dates on live streams. Since the first night I was glued to my phone, especially on the first show.
On a wobbly glitchy live stream I watched totally excited my whole ideas of the concert flip upside down. When Taylor came out in a new beautiful orange Lover Bodysuit I was flashed and I knew this was gonna be a whole new part of all the other shows before. After Fearless, I was surprised when I saw Tamiya doing the RED intro and it came to my mind that Taylor could have all the Eras switched up.
After the RED Era I was sad that Taylor cut Long Life from the setlist.
I, as well as many others hoped, we would get a new Reputation Outfit, but we sadly didn't. But we got Folkmore / Everlore and it was beautiful. I wasn't that sad that some of the songs got cut off, because it wasn't some of my favorites at all from the setlist. I fell in love with the new 1989 sets especially with the idea that she would get two-colored outfits that she could switch up.
But then something completely new happened and we got a TTPD set. I loved it, the songs, outfits and the switch from But Daddy I love him to So High School. Don't know how often I watched clips on TikTok of that. The little dance on the bleachers was cut and it brings back the memories from the Is-it-over-now?-Dance from TikTok.
Pretty late into the European leg of the show, I found the Mastermind game on the swift alert app. And with every show I hoped that my wishes and predictions for the outfits would come true. I think at the same time I put my dream of outfits for my show together.
So my favorite outfits I wished for:
• Lover: the pink and blue bodysuit or the orange bodysuit, for the man the silver or orange jacket and for the Lover set the lavender or blue guitar.
• Fearless: the silver, silver and black or tiger stripe dress
• RED: the Like Ever shirt ( because I wanted to were the same outfit with Taylor) or the Taylor's Version shirt
• Reputation: I love the rep bodysuit with the leg and arm cut out, but I wouldn't be sad if I would get a new outfit
• Speak Now: the silver, the blue or the swirls dress
• Folkmore / Everlore: the purple, cream, green or berry dress
• 1989: the green, blue or yellow top with the pink, orange or blue skirt
• TTPD: the ruining my life dress, the grey or back set, the grey or golden jacket
• Surprise Songs: the orange or blue dress and for surprise songs I wished for Red, So High School, The Prophecy, The Bolter, Peter, Now That We Don't Talk, Is It Over Now, Out Of The Woods, New Romantics, Mean, Haunted, Exile, You're On Your Own Kid or This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things - on guitar or piano
• Midnights: the light purple shirt, the cutouts or chevron bodysuit and the multicolor or magenta Karma jacket
On 6th of August I began to pack my suitcase for my journal to Vienna. Packed my outfit for the show and some clothes for some hot summer days visiting Vienna.
I even called up the hotel I booked, because I was a bit scared that I could have booked a scam over a year ago - I don't why I didn't do it sooner, but my thoughts vanished into thin air anyway, because the man on the phone told me that everything with my booking was fine.
On 7th of August my journal began.
When I got on the train, I saw some girls making friendship bracelets and I knew that I was on the same trip as them.
When I got off the train in Vienna, the heat was so noticeable. I drove to my hotel and was pretty exhausted after nearly five and a half hours on the train.
It was half past six, when I got on my way to the stadium. I wasn't sure it I still should go there because it was pretty late and I didn't know if the merch I wanted would still be available. But ten minutes later I was on my way and when I arrived at the stadium. The queue was very long. I think about 200 people and I thought I would wait and then didn't get a chance to buy something by the time I was at the front. I think they would have closed at 8pm - but I didn't know anymore.
So after about forty minutes after I got to the stadium and I got the merch I wanted.
It was the grey quarter zip and the black t-shirt with the tour dates on the back.
After that I went back to the train station and got back to my hotel. I remember that I left the train station at the Prater after 8pm because all the supermarkets and shops were closed.
Pretty exhausted after that I stepped into the shower and then opened my suitcase to get my outfit for the concert out. It was a bit wrinkled but still okay.
I got my leftover pizza from yesterday out of my backpack and began to eat, while I took some pictures of my merch. I made a TikTok about the merch and the stadium before I fell asleep.
Only to wake up to the most terrible news I could have imagined - no matter if it was my birthday or just a normal day.
