Narrator: CUE THE MUSIC GUYS!⬆️

It was Christmas Eve and Clara and her cousin Avery sat in the hall having been kicked out from the event hall because they're under thirteen. Clara being 7 and Avery being 9. Clara thought that didn't make sense but here she is in the hall anyways.

Narrator: What a sweet child. Now that little shit Avery? She can kick rocks—oop let me get back on track! Back to the story!

"I heard noises and I saw a man wearing a black coat and holding a large box under his arm." Avery said trying to tell clara what she saw before they were kicked out.

"Who do you think it was?" Clara asked tilting her head.

"It had to be Godfather Chris, he's the only person I know that wears a long black leather trench coat, like come on." Avery says as if it's completely obvious.

"Really!? I can't wait to see what presents he bought this visit!" Clara says excitedly her eyes lighting up.

Chris was a tall man, with brown skin and brown eyes. He was the person that all the kids flocked to. He's naturally funny and the kids adore him. To Chris, all those kids are bad as hell.

Narrator: I know that's right. All them kids need an ass whooping.

Clara's parents would always call him to babysit and he'd always bring something to entertain the kids so they'd stay out his face. But when Christmas came around he would always bring something special that the kids have never seen before.

"I bet he's brought something super rare this year." Clara says bouncing in her spot.

Avery rolls her eyes. "It's probably something useless like the thing he brought last year."

"It was not useless! You just didn't know how to use it properly." Clara says crossing her arms over her chest.

"Whatever..."

The doors to the event hall opened and Clara ran happily to her parents and Avery trailing behind her.

"Alright, at 12 am we'll open gifts with your cousins." Clara's father says brushing back her curls.

Clara nods excitedly and when her godfather Chris steps into the hall she jumps into his arms hugging him happily.

"Touching!" Chris says holding up his arms. He thinks kids are germ magnets especially during the winter season.

"What did you bring this year? Is it something extremely rare?" Clara asks her big brown eyes sparkling as she holds onto his trench coat.

"You'll have to wait and see." He tells her patting her head.

"It's probably something lame anyways." Avery says and when she turns around chris is trying to chuck a peppermint at her head.

"Chris!?" Clara's mother scolds and he puts the peppermint back.

Narrator: Y'all idk about y'all but Avery gets on my nerves real bad.

Chris cleared his throat, adjusting his coat. "My bad. It almost slipped out my hand. You know how slippery peppermints can be."

Clara giggled, holding onto his coat as Avery glared at him from a safe distance.

"Yeah, real slippery," Avery muttered under her breath, crossing her arms.

Chris tilted his head, his eyes narrowing slightly. "You say something, lil girl?"

Avery didn't reply, only tossing her braids over her shoulder with a 'hmph' as she followed the adults into the event hall.
