François-Henri, the representative of the French company who would be conducting business with Mew family company, arrived in Thailand with his team, making Mew extremely busy.
All discussions went smoothly. On the second night of Henri's stay, Mr Supasit asked Mew to take Henri out for dinner at a prestigious hotel. Since his wife was accompanying him, Mew was instructed by his father to bring Gulf along to join them for dinner.
Mew reluctantly accepted his father's request. The idea of taking that young boy out to dinner with a potential business partner from France? What a disaster! If only I could bring Amanda, everything would go smoothly. But father's orders couldn't be defied. He quickly instructed his loyal secretary to call Gulf and tell him to get ready for dinner later.
"Have you called Gulf?" Mew asked, his voice filled with concern. His loyal secretary hesitated before answering, "I've been trying to call Madam for almost an hour, but there's been no answer."
"What? Where has that boy gone? Has he had an accident? Or is he so engrossed in shopping that he didn't notice the call?" Mew thought to himself. He tried calling himself, but there was no answer either. He hung up without leaving a voicemail.
"Keep calling him. Connect him to me when you manage to get through," he instructed his secretary, his face now sour. Where could that boy be wandering off to? Doesn't he know how to stay at home? Is this what he does every day? He returned to the meeting room with a displeased expression.
Nearly an hour later, Mew's secretary entered the meeting room and signaled that there was a phone call. Mew asked for permission to step out for a moment.
"Where the hell have you been? My staff has been trying to call you for two hours!" he shouted into the phone. Gulf on the other end had to pull the phone away from his ear. "Geez, my ears..."
No greeting, just straight into the scolding!
"I was at the gym..." Gulf started to explain, but his husband interrupted him immediately.
"Two hours! What kind of gym takes two hours?"
"Exercise, then sauna," Gulf replied, starting to feel irritated. "Oh! No daily reports from you, but I'm supposed to report every move I make?"
"Tonight, there's a dinner with an important client. Dress up, don't be late. Do you hear me?" Mew ordered in a loud voice. Does he think I'm his staff? Giving orders like that, shouting at me. Gulf held back his frustration, irritated.
"Roger that," Gulf replied.
"Roger that!?" Gulf's response made Mew's blood boil. What a childish answer!
"Can you be serious? This isn't a casual dinner. The client is important for my family's company!"
"Oh! Your family's company, not our family's company," Gulf felt deeply hurt.
"Yes, I understand. I'll be ready before 8 for dinner with your client." Gulf repeated his husband's instructions one by one.
The phone line was abruptly disconnected by his husband. Doesn't he know how to say thank you or goodbye? Gulf grumbled.
