As soon as he arrived at the office, Mew's phone rang. The caller's name appeared...Amanda! Hmm. One bluff, and already she's calling. Mew smirked.

"Morning, darling. You're calling so early—won't your wife be upset?" Amanda purposely brought up his wife. She was still hurt. After more than six months of trying to win this millionaire's son, he married to someone else. It was all because of his mother's, she's looking down on me so much. Just you wait, she thought, I won't let her son go that easily.

"Early? It's already past seven." Mew didn't feel like responding about his wife.

"Hmm, I had a job last night until two in the morning," Amanda gave an excuse.

"Lunch?"

"Anything for you, darling... miss me, eh?"

Amanda's laughter out, full of smug pride. Just got married, and he was already reaching out to me. What does his wife think that he want to compete with me? He is Mine! married or not!

"See you later." He ended the call abruptly.

Is this Plan A or Plan B? Mew wondered to himself. Whatever! I'll meet Amanda first. After seeing this sexy model, I won't have any desire left for that crybaby.

When Mew arrived at the restaurant they had agreed on, Amanda wasn't there yet. This is what I hate about women, Mew muttered to himself. Always late.

He went ahead and ordered food. Either way, by two o'clock, he had to be back at the office.

At 1:20 p.m., the famous model finally arrived, chattering away with apologies about the traffic.

"If you know it's always jammed, leave earlier," Mew snapped, irritated.

"Darling, didn't I say I'm sorry? I'm exhausted, you know. We were shooting until two in the morning. But since you asked me for lunch, I came." She reached for Mew's right hand, kissing it softly several times. Her brown eyes gazed at him playfully.

Like a Persian cat! Mew thought, a smile already forming on his lips. His earlier irritation vanished without a trace. Every time Amanda looked into his eyes, a wave of happiness spread through him.

Amanda smiled, pleased with herself; this millionaire's son was so easy to win over.
"Did you miss me, honeybunch?" she teased, tossing her long brown hair back over her shoulder.

Mew's heart started pounding. He drank in the sight of her: Amanda's fair, flawless skin, her graceful neck, and that reddish-brown hair. His eyes drifted over her figure. She was exactly his type—slim, tall, modern. Physically, she checked every box. Amanda was a girl with a truly feminine personality! Elegant! Not at all like that crybaby at home.

Since graduating, Mew had been entirely focused on work. He was determined to prove to his father that he was capable and earn his trust. In the end, he succeeded, starting from the bottom and now holding the position of CEO at one of his father's largest subsidiaries. From the beginning, he had promised himself that once he succeeded, he would find a beautiful, modern woman to marry to as a reward for all his hard work. After dating a few models and famous actresses, he was confident Amanda was that woman.

"Don't tell me that you didn't miss me?" Amanda asked again, her voice tinged with a pout.

Did I miss her? Mew asked himself. Honestly, over the past couple of days, he had found himself thinking more about that crybaby. This can't be good!

"What do you think?" Mew replied, turning the question back on her. It was better to avoid lying.

"I think... for sure you missed me! Otherwise, why would you have reached out to me after your wedding?" Amanda answered, a proud smile on her face.

""Darling, I miss you too. Shall we go off somewhere for a few days? Then I can show you just how much I miss you," Amanda teased. She knew she had to act fast.

It was because she late that his mother had managed to marry Mew off to someone else.

"No can do. I'm busy at the office right now. We're working on a new deal with a huge French company."

Amanda heard the sound of ka-ching, ka-ching in her ears. That deal must be worth millions.

"How about tonight then? Let's spend a night together. You know, it hurts me thinking of you with him. So... I want to give you a night that will blow that man out of your mind," Amanda whispered seductively. Her bottom lip gently bit down, adding to the allure.

Mew was taken aback.

"Interesting offer. But my team has meeting. The business proposal has to be finished this week. How about a rain check?" Mew made an excuse.

Rain check? What for? Amanda thought to herself.

"Darling, you married to someone else, and now when I ask you to spend time with me, you still won't. How could you? What am I to you?" Amanda tried to play the pout card, hoping something. She was determined to win him.

"Amanda, you know I don't like when you said that," Mew said, his irritation clear. "This new business deal is crucial for our company. Business always comes first."

Amanda realized her strategy had failed. Oh, oh, wrong move. I need to switch tactics fast, she thought, quickly adjusting her approach.

"Okay, but after lunch, will you accompany me shopping?" she asked, her gaze softening. "There's an event this weekend, major media coverage. I need a new outfit."

Mew raised an eyebrow. Shopping? He knew exactly what that meant: You pay, right?

He sighed inwardly. Not only was it exhausting to hop from one store to another, but now he'd be expected to foot the bill? Thanks, but no thanks!

"You know I don't like shopping, and I'm very busy today," Mew said nonchalantly, rejecting her request. Anyone who wanted to be with him had to follow his lead, not the other way around.

Amanda's lips puckered into a pout. What did I get after going through all this trouble to have lunch with him?. I couldn't even get a new outfit out of it. He won't go on a trip with me, he rejected spending the night together... I feel like giving up!

Her heart simmered with frustration, but she quickly reminded herself to be patient. I may not get anything now, but if I marry him, millions will be within my grasp!

Patience, Amanda, patience...

Suddenly, Mew pushed his chair back. Amanda glanced at his empty plate in surprise.

"Darling, I just got my food. You're not going to let me eat alone, are you?" Amanda protested when she saw Mew getting up.

""I have meeting at two." Mew said, his tone firm. Business always came first, and his heart remained unaffected.

"It's okay, you go ahead with your lunch. I'll settle the bill," Amanda heard him say as he walked away.

"Darling!!!" Amanda protested, her voice loud enough to attract the attention of other peoples. How am I supposed to make him change his mind now? she thought, watching as the owner of the bank—Mew—walked out.
