[ first pov ; (name) ]

Here I am again, sitting at the shore of the beach, disregarding the harsh heat of sunlight shining upon me.

All I could here was the susurration of the ocean waves as it hit the shore, finding solace in such a simple thing

It was currently afternoon, I had already finished eating my lunch in hopes of avoiding my father, it's always like this every single day, whenever he sees me, he always has something negative to say to me; from comparing me to other children to degrading my very own dignity.

I like the ocean, it helps me soothe the heavy weight of my heart, it doesn't judge or lessen my dignity; the ocean is just there, even if it doesn't respond, it's presence is what comforts me the most.

I always go to this specific spot of the beach, the cawing of the seagulls gliding through the sky, the water splashing my feet, I find peace in simple things such as this, I won't ever trade this for anything ever.

Bringing my knees to my chest, I bury my face on it, burying my profound resentment to my father as well.

Until a voice cried out, a boy riding the waves of the ocean, basking in the sunlight's warmth with the cool waters.

He was heading towards my direction and I can feel panic surging in my veins, I'm not sure on what to do, my body seemingly became unmoving in fear, I could only close my eyes and brace the impact.

But nothing happened, until I turned around to see the boy, his face planted on the ground.

I immediately rushed to his aid, worried about his well-being, the impact must've hurt him a lot considering there was a bruise forming on his left shoulder.

I shook him but he didn't respond for quite awhile, I let out a deep breath, beads of sweat started to form on my face.

"Hey.. are you alright?" I asked the boy who's still unresponsive. "I'm sorry, I'm sure you didn't expect someone to be here.."

I settled in besides the boy, sitting down and waiting for him to give some sort of movement, things could end up badly for me if I harmed him in anyway.

For what seemed an eternity, I heard a grunt, whipping my head towards the boy, I once again asked him

"Are you alright?!" I stood up, offering my hand to him.

As he reached out for my outstretched hand, I can't help but feel a sense of familiarity with this guy. I've never met him before so why?
