The water curtain returned to calm.
The soft sand in the sandy cave was stained red by the splashed blood, forming a red sand ball.
Zan Xing leaned against one end of the crack in the stone, looking at the wound on her hand, appearing very embarrassed.
What could be more embarrassing than going out with full confidence, intending to make a grand fight, but being beaten by a monster?
She was slapped in the face, and her face hurt, really hurt.
In the original book, didn't she have the Xiao Yuan Pearl to rule the world? Why couldn't she do that? If she hadn't desperately escaped into the crack in the stone at the critical moment and 'Yu' hadn't been able to get in, she would probably be dead now.
But... it shouldn't be!
She had clearly touched 'Yu's body just now, and it was hard to describe the feeling, like unmelted marshmallows, yet with a sticky and thick sensation.
Her fist did smash 'Yu's body into pieces. But after those black spots dissipated like ants, they quickly gathered together again.
This guy was invincible.
No matter how many times she used her fists to disperse the monster, it had no effect on the opponent. This was too frustrating.
Zan Xing sat down against the wall of the cave. There was no specific description of this monster in the original book. Most of the words were used to outline the protagonist's training process, so much so that even the weakness of this thing was still unknown.
Was there really no weakness?
Zan Xing lowered her head and looked at the ground. The wind coming from the other side of the water curtain made her shadow sway slightly.
"Fortunately, my shadow cannot be seen in the water," Zan Xing said to herself. People could dodge the sand shot from the monster's mouth, but it would be a bit difficult for people's shadows to accurately avoid it.
Wait, the shadow?
This monster liked to shoot cold arrows at other people's shadows. It... didn't have a shadow?
With a flash of thought, Zan Xing turned around and put her head on the edge of the crack to look out.
Under the water, the blurry body of the monster passed through it from time to time.
If it were in the past, it would be hard to see clearly, but maybe because of the Xiao Yuan Pearl, she could perceive the subtleties clearly, so she saw a small black shadow hanging below the body of 'Yu', like a tail.
This black shadow was different from the body of 'Yu'; the color was darker and looked more solid. It was not big, only the size of a palm. It was easy to overlook at first glance, but she could see the difference if she looked carefully.
Was this the shadow of 'Yu'?
If so, this monster was too cunning. The main body looked as illusory as the shadow, but the shadow appeared particularly solid. The monster 'Yu' liked to hide in the water and shoot at people's shadows. If its shadow was the weakness of this monster, Zan Xing wondered if she could use it to defeat 'Yu'.
