Ashlyn loved it. Her tolerance for loud noises had increased because of it. The concert hadn't even begun yet and she could already hear her name being shouted by the crowd, the arena sold out and the seats were packed. "Two minutes left!” Her manager informed her before disappearing out of her dressing room. Ashlyn placed her mask over her eyes, adjusting it to her liking before she looked at herself in the mirror.
I bet you're curious about the mask? I'll explain. Ashlyn is a little too shy to show her face to people, so she wears a mask to cover half of her face, it makes her a bit more confident. It's not like her fans care anyway, they still enjoy her music and think she's a pretty cool person.
One guy in particular thinks she's amazing.
"Ash!" The girl is snapped out of her thoughts when she hears her best friend's voice in the room. Ashlyn turns around, greeting the girl with a smile. "What's up Taylor?" She questions, oblivious to the taller girl's panicked state. "Oh nothing, except you're on in like 15 seconds!" Ashlyn's expression drops, "what?!" she immediately gets up, making final adjustments to her outfit and mask before her name is announced to the crowd. 'Please welcome Ashlyn Banner!' The speaker wailed. Ashlyn rushed to get into her place, making it just in time as the curtains slowly opened and the lights dimmed.
A single spotlight appeared, it was green, shining directly on Ashlyn's figure. The crowd roared as the music began to play. Ashlyn spotted her friends in the front of the crowd, each of them with excited expressions. They were cheering just as loud as the rest of the fans were, one of her friends in particular, Tyler Hernandez, looked more excited than the rest.
Ashlyn had never seen him smile so bright.
He never smiled like that around the group, he was always stone faced and silent. Only speaking when he had something smart-mouthed to say. She never really got along with him, they were frenemies you could say. This was her first time seeing him so excited. It made her a little relieved to see him feeling genuinely happy.
The girl walked around the stage as she sang, occasionally leaning down to interact with her fans. The crowd grew louder each time she approached the edge of the stage. Tyler felt his face heating up each time she got close to them, the lights casted a perfect shadow over her frame. She looked radiant, it made his heart race. Occasionally Ashlyn would make eye contact with him, she'd give her contagious smile which made it impossible to not return it.
Boy, Tyler really fell hard this time.
Eventually, the song came to an end. The roaring of the crowd hadn't dissipated just yet, "thank you all for coming out tonight, your support really means a lot to me." Ashlyn spoke into the microphone, earning more cheers from the crowd. "I have one more song tonight to finish off this concert." The girl said, going silent as the lights dimmed. The melody for the next song began.

Ashlyn sat down at her vanity, taking a drink of her water bottle. The concert was over and her fans were slowly leaving the building. The girl turned around when she heard the door to her dressing room open. "That was amazing!" exclaimed Taylor, who received a smile from Ashlyn. The redhead girl got up and went over to Taylor, engulfing her in a hug which Taylor gladly returned.
