BAU headquarters, Quantico
The two BAU blondes were seated on chairs in Garcia's lair, the liaison spoje up, sitting next to next to the tech, watching her type away.
"How did a terror cell get it's hands on anthrax without a single lab reporting a security breach? Would we know if a foreign lab had a breach?"
"A foreign lab? Actually, no." The tech answered, not noticing the liaison's glance to the TV posted up on the wall. On the news, there was the footage of a burning building in Annandale, which seemed to be an explosion.
"Garcia, isn't Annandale where Morgan and Hotch are?" JJ's words prompted Garcia to also look over to the news on the TV before she spoke.
"That's not a gas main explosion." She realized as she pushed a button on her desk, the telephone ringing as they waited for the other side to answer.
"Please pick up. Please pick up. Please pick up..."
"Yeah, it's Morgan." A voice was finally heard from the other side of the phone, allowing Penelope a sigh of relief as she held her phone up to her ear.
"Hello? Garcia, can you hear me?"
"We saw the explosion on TV." She answered shakily.
"Yeah, I know. Leibner told us it was a trap, so most of us got out on time. We lost a SWAT agent."
"Oh, God."
"Don't worry. Don't think you're gonna get rid of me that easy."
"Do you need anything?"
"I know who to call if I do. Thanks, baby doll."
"They're all right?" JJ asks once Garcia hangs up.
"Yeah. We lost a SWAT agent. Morgan said someone told them it was a trap, before it happened, though." The tech nods.
"What? Who? No way the terrorists would call them to tell them that, not after setting it up."
"No, no, someone named... Leibner?"
"Who's that?"
Guantanamo Bay
Later on, Gideon is once again in the interrogation room, but now with Reid. They put up a news coverage of a terrorist attack on a building in the other room which could be seen through the open door of the interrogation room. That was the room where Emily and Fran were, the coverage which looked like the attack which was planned that night playing on the TV. In the meantime, they also managed to find out Jind Allah's real name, Jamaal Abaza.
"Those people tonight, they were innocent. They never hurt you." Gideon argues with Abaza.
"They hurt me by existing!" Abaza exclaims, which causes Gideon to visibly recoil.
"Yes, the infidels shall fall at the hands of the righteous. And that is when the Jihad will end." Abaza continues, the agents watching him as he speaks. However, as Emily is in the other room with Fran, only then she notices how he looks at Abaza. His expression is unreadable.
Now he was looking at Abaza, in person. Not through the monitor of a computer. Unsettlingly calmly. Even though Gideon, Reid and Emily were all calm and serious at that moment, their expressions held a myriad of emotions. Concern, confusion, disgust...
His eyes didn't hold any of those. What was going on behind those eyes? Gideon's voice caught Emily's attention again.
"So you are ready to murder 4 billion people?"
