I park my car in the house's garage after a car ride full of thoughts. I still don't know what the hell mine and Harry's relationship is all about. I walk towards the front door when I realize the lights are on. Weird... My sister called me and said she was on the mall with some friends. I'm sure I turned the lights off yesterday when i left for the studio so I don't know how they are on. Thinking about the studio, it seems like a decade ago that I went working and avoided Harold and the guys.
I climb the marble steps and warily turn the keys on the lock, and I try to come in as quiet as possible. I gently put my keys on the table near the entrance and tiptoe towards the living room, spying to see if someone's there. No one. I fish for my phone on my purse and dial 911. In case something goes wrong I'll just press call. I jump backwards when I hear a loud crash coming from the kitchen followed by a 'shit'. I grab one of my dad's golf clubs, which always is near the wall for emergencies, and also serves as decoration. With the club on one hand and my iPhone on the other, I press my back on the wall. I take a deep breath and jump on front of the door, trying to spot the intruder. "WHAT THE FUCK KENDALL."
"DAD WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE?"
"I. Live. Here"
"It's pretty obvious that you live here, I mean what are you doing in town. Last time I checked you were in some place you didn't even bother to tell me about."
"Kendall it's been a long day. Can we talk about this later?"
"I'd rather not talk to you."
I lie on my bed and plug my IPhone on the charger, noticing some unread messages.

Hey Kendall, the girls and I were planning on meeting on the Starbucks shop near Beverly hills at 10. Want to join us? Hope I didn't wake you up, xx, A.
I smile at the cute text and reply quickly, saying that I would go. I lay my iPhone back on the table. I grab my reading book, brushing my fingers through the worn and old pages , bringing up sweet memories.
I remember when my mom gave me the book, I must've been five or six years old, and I thought it was the most boring present ever. It had a fading blue cover and yellowed pages, a indication that mom had read it a million times before. I later discovered that it was her favorite book. I didn't understand the complex words that were written, and I remember that I'd rather have a Barbie doll instead. I don't know why mom gave me the book, but I'm glad she did, because I like to think of it like a connection between us both.
Suddenly I feel very tired, and I put the book back on the table, turning off the bedside lamp and falling into deep sleep

'Men and girls came and went like moths among the whisperings and the champagne and the stars"
I wake up startled, and I sit up on my bed. I lift the white duvet from me and touch my feet on the cold floor, causing Goosebumps all along my legs. I get out of the bed and peer through the purple skies. It must be near dawn. I head toward my closet and I grab a hoodie. I slip through the door and walk barefooted through the long corridor until I reach the staircase leading towards the living room. I walk towards the patio and sit on one of the iron tables. The morning dew wet my feet but I keep walking. I get the camera I brought with me and start taking pictures of the beautiful sunrise. I look at my wristwatch and see what time it is. It read 5:54.
I open the book and remove the bookmark. I start reading from where I last stopped, immediately entering the world of The Great Gatsby.

At halve past seven I get up from the table and head towards the house, deciding that I need to start getting ready. I cross the living room again and climb the staircase, stopping by my sister's room to check on her. I open the golden door handle and peek my head inside. Mel was sprawled on her bed, and her light brown hair was fanned all around her, kind of looking like a halo. I close the door and walk towards my bedroom. I turn the shower on and strip off of my clothes.
I step out of the bathroom using my towel, and open my closet door picking an outfit. I select pants with a plant print on it, a short white shirt, my leather jacket and some black heels. I put my clothes on and I stand in front of my mirror thinking about how should I do my makeup. I decide on putting on foundation, mascara, eyeliner and a neutral lipstick. I grab my iPhone and walk towards the stairs. I stop and I get my purse on the way out. I open the door and unlock my car, climbing on the silver Mercedes, while the mansion's gates open up for me.
I easily find a spot and I park my car, locking it on my way out. I walk towards Starbucks, when I feel my iPhone vibrating. I unlock the screen and see that it was my dad calling. I quickly press decline.
I walk through the door, trying to spot the girls. After a while of searching for them, I spot the three girls on the back of the coffee shop. I head towards them and they wave, telling me to sit down.
"Hey Kenny!" I roll my eyes with the mention of the stupid nickname.
"What's up guys?" I greet them back and we start talking. After a while, I get up and buy myself a chai latte, my favorite drink, and we start talking again.
"Okay Kendall, I have a surprise for you." Athena starts wiggling her eyebrows up and down, making me laugh.
"Spill it!" I take a sip from my drink.
"So, I have this friend that is a fashion photographer, and I arranged a photoshoot for you!"
holy shit.
"What?!" I almost spit the hot beverage over my friends.
"...And he said that he could do it on Thursday, so that gives you two days until then"
