being oikawa's successor was not easy.
well, that's what yahaba learnt after having to be it.
oikawa was leaving for college next year, probably with iwaizumi, seeming how close they were. they were loosing their best players. best setter. and now yahaba had to fill in that role. and it was NOT easy. at. all.
*it was currently after practice, and yahaba was setting to a makeshift target. (aka, an empty waterbottle.) it was pretty late, and he was alone in the gym, until he heard a door open then slam, and a bag set down. yahaba let the ball drop on the court after setting it.*
who's there..?
*kyoutani walked up to him.*
set to me.
wha-
please set to me.
*i mean, it was a win for yahaba..extra practice for both, plus he got to indirectly hang out with his crus-frienddd..AND DID HE JUST SAY PLEASE-*
okay..didn't know ya could say please, mad-dog~?
*he just grumbled a 'whatever...' in response.*
*the two boys started doing drills from then on.*
*they had finished practicing, both exhausted. they put up the equipment, locked up, and were now currently walking to the yahaba estate. well, kyoutani was walking yahaba there.*
*eventually, they got there, and they were standing in front of the front porch.*
*kyoutani stood in front of yahaba, hands in his pockets, a light flush on his face from the bitter winter air.*
thanks..for..setting to me, i guess....
*he said, kinda awkwardly.*
no problem, mad-dog-chan!
*yahaba replied with a small laugh at his embarrassed expression.*
stop calling me that....
*he said, a bittersweet tone in his voice.*
yeah, yeah, okay..i'm gonna head inside now, bye..
*yahaba waved softly, adjusting his scarf before walking inside.*
wait-
*kyoutani pulled him back a bit by the scarf he was wearing, and kissed him. he quickly pulled away, and shoved yahaba into his house, shutting the door behind him and sprinting away.*
*yahaba was shocked for a second, before bursting out into laughter.*
maybe being oikawas successor wasn't that bad when kyoutani was there.
