CHAPTER 2 - THE PUNISHMENT

It was Wednesday. Today was an intense day, the worst subjects were on the schedule and on top of that Paula had not come to class today. Besides, that morning I hadn't woken up very well. My stomach was upset and I had cramps.

"Come on Hector, hold on until you get home, there are only two more hours left and you will be free" I thought as I entered philosophy class with the teacher I liked the worst, Paco.

The class passed calmly. Paco, as usual, sat in his chair and began to talk non-stop. Moments before the doorbell rang, I got a squeeze.

"No, no, no". I squeezed my legs as much as I could and hugged my belly.

-Paco, can I go to the bathroom please?- I said

-No, you wait 2 minutes for the bell to ring.

"Fuck. I can't hold on"

Those minutes seemed like an eternity and just when the doorbell rang, I stormed out to the bathroom. I got into the first cubicle I saw, and praying that no one would come in just at that moment, I gave it my all in the toilet. The bathrooms at school made me very sick but this was an emergency.

While finishing and looking for a tissue to clean myself, I thought "I have to stop drinking so much Coca-Cola and so much coffee", since this was not the first time something like this happened to me. Furthermore, Paula had told me that those drinks could be the cause.

I flushed the toilet and when I was going to leave I heard a noise that also came from the bathroom.

"Shit, there was someone else in the bathroom. They would have heard me and I'm sure they would have also heard me shit."

I heard someone running and then nothing. Absolute silence."Would he have left already? What would that noise have been?"

I left the cubicle with fear and saw the cause of the scandal. A slippery slab was torn from the wall and a large puddle (of what I'd like to think was water and nothing else).

"God. Kevin has already been doing mischief"

All the students knew that Kevin, a 1st ESO boy, was vandalizing the school, but the teachers didn't seem to know who the culprit was.

Just when I was going to leave, Dominatrix appeared. She was the devilish secretary of the school, who was always angry and yelling at the students with her characteristic blonde curls. Paula and I called her the Dominatrix and we suspected that she had an affair with Julius.

-Hey, where do you think you're going? We have finally caught the kid who does all this-she shouts to me with a milicious smile.

-But I don't...

-Don't try to make up any excuse. You are punished. Now you are going to go down with me and you are going to spend the rest of the day in the library doing librarian work.

But I haven't done anything, really - I tried to reply.

She took me by the arm and took me to the library.

When I looked at him I thought "This can't be true." The boy was Hugo. Dominatrix continued talking but I couldn't listen to her anymore, I could only think about what I was going to do with him alone. At that moment I wanted to disappear from the planet.
