(Kylee's POV)
I spent the rest of the party in Dominic's car. It was too much for me to handle, I was alone and still a bit shaken from the incident. I either spent the time on my phone or overthinking. Was I overreacting? What if everyone talks about me? What if I made trouble or made a fool of myself? I wasn't really a person who would overthink or be insecure, but times changed and I also changed. I used to love to go to parties with dad, not only as his daughter but also as an employee. I enjoyed my life so much, I was always proud of myself but right now I am ashamed. Ashamed of what I have become, silent and empty. I wish I had someone to talk to and I had..Amara my best friend. I don't know what got into me, I was aggressive, irritated after dad died and all that I let out on poor Amara. But she never complained, instead she was understanding and loving. I was so focused on my own problems that I didn't consider her feelings. Everyone has problems in their life and I am not special because I lost dad but I didn't understand it back then, I thought Amara was annoyed with me. My insecurities and emotions led to misunderstandings, which caused me to break contact with her, hurting her and myself. I just want to..I don't know what I want, I feel so empty. Flinching I look from my backseat as Dominic gets into the driver's seat. I lean my head against the window, closing my eyes. 'I didn't bring you here to spend the time in the car or cause a scene..' I look at the rearviewmirror confused. 'Scene?'–'Yes, scene. Do you always have to cause trouble? I know about the guy incident.'–'I-I didn't do anything, really. I-I was just-' I stopped mid-sentence when the car sped up, throwing my body forward. 'I don't care what you did or not. I told you to socialize and find a job and not to cause a scene!'–'I didn't cause a scene! The guy was the one who was harassing me..!' I defended myself, but there was no point to it, because whether it was my fault or not he would blame me. That is one of the reasons I never told him about Dylan's offenses, whether they were related to his drug addiction or his acts of rape. 'I talked with one of my business partners, you have got a job' My gaze widened in disbelief while he explained further. 'You are going to go work at the Royal engines' The name was really familiar, after all it was the last deal my father made with a company. '
