-Dylan's POV-

Twisting my hair up into a tight intricately braided bun. I slid into my ballet slippers and stretched out in the locker rooms yawning. ''Hey Cici,'' I said to the petite blue eyed blonde standing near me. Cici replied with a small smile being her usual shy self and we walked out to the studio with each . Class began and Cici didn't say much just listened to the teacher and the teacher then put on moonlight sonata and we began reviewing. I was the lead And just when i was about to take my last leap in the dance my bestfriend Shana burst in the room beautiful as ever.

Her skin was a very light brown and shana had the longest hair i'd had ever seen on an african-american and it fell down to her waist even though right now it was pulled up in a tight sock bun. "Hey guys sorry i was late!" shana shouted with a bright firm smile rushing over to me and icovered up her laugh with a quick cough. Our dance instructor shot Shana a firm glance and rolled his eyes restarting the music.

''How's it going?" shana muttured from the side of the mouth breaking into dance with the rest of the class. ''Good,'' I murmured back, eyes focused on the instructor. ''I have a wedgie,'' Shana said almost too loudly but no one but Me heard her and i laughed "Nice to know" and this time took my final leap right into the instructors arms and he dipped her the ending off the song faded out. ''Okay let's go again,'' the instructor told them and everyone groaned and did it again.

By the end of class everyone was worn out and sweaty besides shana and me and they all rushed to the locker rooms. "So?' I asked and Shana raised a brow. She then rolled her eyes. ''Where were you for the first half of practice?" i asked Shana and she smirked. ''Wouldn't you like to know,'' shana told me sarcastically slipping on a pair of light wash skinny jeans and a black I heart NY tanktop. I on the other hand slid on a pair of brown leggings with a green sweater dress the matched my eyes perfectly and gave me curves.

"Yeah I actually would.'' I exclaimed laughing throwing a hair clip at shana and shana grinned shrugging. "Let's go,'' shana tells me rather loudly pulling my body out side. The early morning breeze was chilly and frigid. "I cant believe winter vacation is over!" i say loud and sadly. ''And i cant believe im wearing a tanktop in 50 degree weather.'' shana said laughing her dark hazel eyes shimmering. ''True.'' I say giggling.

"Soooo what are we doing today?" I say hoping to ditch school. "Um a test in math and then for lunch if ur good meatloaf with a side of frozen milk," she said sweetly as if she were a news reporter talking into a fake microphone. I groaned and stomped to Shana's car getting in the backseat so I could stretch out my legs. I was rather short for other people In my grade but I had just started to grow more only being 15 almost 16 though.

"How's the 'rents?" She asked suddenly as she slid into the buttery smooth front seat made of black leather and turned on the cars seat warmers. "Good." I say a bit too chipper. We both knew I had been adopted or put in a foster home way too many times and thrown back way to many too. This was my 5th pair of "parents" though I have to admit this pair had kept me for the longest I had lasted three years so far. They were nice enough but really I bet the only reason they kept me was for there little girl daisy they had had not but two years ago that was attached to me by the hip. "Dyl," she said quietly using my nickname looking in the rear view trying to make eye contact but I looked away.

"Look Shana it's okay at least this pair isn't abusive I said not very fond of 2/5 of my "parents". And I honestly meant it, these were the nicest ones yet... I was almost happy it's just...I still remembered my old ones and I don't think I could ever love these new ones like I would have my true parents...I picked at the hem of my sweater dress looking at my lap as we drove to school. I was not in a very good mood but eh, who ever said school was a place to be happy anyway.

I just had to admit it, a day in the life of Dylan Kings was not all it had cracked up to be. In fact it completely and utterly sucked.
