In the living room, Spruce sat on the couch with 4-month-old Baby Branch, watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on TV. Baby Branch giggled and babbled while Spruce smiled and responded to his babbling.
Spruce: Yeah, I love this show.
Baby Branch: Ooo, ooo, ba!
Spruce: Yeah, that is Pluto's blue bouncy ball. It's still bouncing away.
Baby Branch: Ba, ba, ba, ba!
Spruce: Yup. Bounce, bounce, bounce. The ball is bouncing away. Heh heh.
Suddenly, Spruce had an idea, wanting to do something fun with his youngest brother.
Spruce: Bouncy bouncy time, Baby Branchy!
He scooped up Baby Branch and placed him on his leg, holding him securely in place.
Baby Branch: *gasps for a moment before babbling* Oooo!
Spruce: Let's bounce like Pluto's ball. Are you ready?
Baby Branch: Ba, ba, ba!
Spruce: Okay, heeeeere weeeee goooo!! *starts bouncing leg up and down* Bouncy bouncy, Baby Branchy! Wheeee!
Baby Branch giggled and squealed with delight.
Spruce: *smiles* Oh, you like that, do you, Baby Branchy? Bouncy, bouncy?"
Baby Branch: Aaaaa!
Spruce: *in a high-pitched voice and speaks in a babyish way* You wuv bouncy bouncy time, don't you?!
Baby Branch: Oooo, ooo!
Spruce: Awww, you want more? Okay!
Baby Branch giggled as Spruce continued to bounce him up and down gently on his leg, making him squeal with delight.
As Spruce continued to bounce, he increased the speed and height, laughing.Baby Branch shrieked with laughter, his eyes shining with joy.
Spruce: Bouncy, bouncy, bouncy, bouncy-whooooo! *lifts Baby Branch in the air*
Baby Branch: *gasps and lets out a giggle and kicking his little legs, feeling free and exhilarated*
Spruce: You're flying, Baby Branchy! You're soaring through the air! Wheeeeeee!!!
Baby Branch: *babbles and cooing* Eeeeeeee!!!
Spruce carefully lowered Baby Branch back down into his arms, beaming with joy. Baby Branch babbled and giggled, clearly enjoying the special attention and baby talk.
Spruce: You liked that, didn't you, little my Branchy-wanchy?
Baby Branch: *giggles* Aaaoouu!!
Spruce: Yeah, that was fun, like a lot of fun!
Baby Branch snuggled into Spruce's chest, who was drifting off to sleep.
Spruce: Oh! It looks like it's your nap time. Come on, let's go.
Baby Branch: *yawns*
Spruce turned off the TV, and he hugged his youngest brother in his arms. He carried him into the nursery, laid him down gently in the crib, and put a blanket on him. He kissed him on the fore
Spruce: *kisses him on the forehead* I love you!
Baby Branch: *hums and snuggles in blanket and smiles*
Spruce tiptoed out of the nursery and walked through the hallways with a huge smile on his face, looking forward to the next bouncy bounce session.
