Dan jolted out of bed as realization kicked in.

Winnie's birthday! Dan internally screamed at himself. He looked down at the sleeping Phil next to him, Dan grabbed Phil's shoulder and violently shook him.

"Phil! Phil! Phil! Wake up Lion!" he scream-whispered at him. Phil let out an amused-half-sleeping grumble "What do you want Dan?" Phil said, his voice low from sleepiness. Dan let out a squeal of excitement "It's Winnie's birthday! Look, look, look!" Dan said as he pulled out his phone "May 20th, Winnie's birthday!" Dan said, Phil slowly sat up "Is she five years old already? It feels like yesterday she was an infant at the orphanage!" Phil said, rubbing his eyes. Dan violently nodded, he felt the same way. He remembers the raw joy of the first day the baby slept in their house. They still did youtube but not as often, the phandom went apeshit when they found out they were engaged and they went even more insane after they adopted.

"Only shush! I don't want to wake her up." Dan said, his heart tingling with excitement. Phil smiled and got out of bed "Lets get dressed first, okay?" Dan smiled at the words, realizing they were only wearing t-shirts and boxers.

They got dressed and they sneaked out in the kitchen. Phil quickly opened a drawer and pulled out balloons of all colors while Dan pulled out a yellow cake that had the words 'happy birthday Winnie!' from the refrigerator.

"I still can't believe that you named our kid after Winnie the Pooh." Phil said sarcastically.
"It was your idea! I just really really liked it." Dan said truthfully as he sat the cake on the counter.
"It was better than the name Sans!" Phil laughed. Dan was actually thinking of naming their kid after a font. An ugly one, too.
"I guess so!" Dan giggled.

They both sat on the floor and started blowing up balloons and then chucking them behind themselves.

They both had random giggles at each other, Dan almost popped one of his balloons from blowing too much air in it and Phil couldn't stop laughing. After everything was set up, they decided that Phil would wake up Winnie and tell her to get all dressed while Dan made sure everything was perfect.

Phil slowly opened the door and saw the sleeping child. He smiled at her light curly brown hair and yellow pyjamas. Phil quietly came up to her and shook her a bit. Winnie let out a small groan then opened her eyes
"Wake up Winnie. Today is a special day! Get all dressed up." Phil said in a whispery voice.
Winnie smiled "Okay daddy... Where's daddy?" She said. It was a bit hard to tell at time what dad she was referring to, Dan or Phil. But this time it was obvious.
"He's just getting ready okay? I'll see you in a bit." Phil said, kissing his daughter on the forehead.

Phil backed out of the room and shut the door "any mistakes we made bear?" He said to Dan, walking towards him. Dan smiled "none. How's Winnie doing, lion?" He said, they gave each other nicknames long ago when they first met. Phil smiled and kissed Dan's nose "none there either." Phil giggled.

"God I love you dork." Dan muttered
"I love you too you trash bin." Phil replied, placing a kiss on his nose again. They both smiled and waited for Winnie to walk out.

Winnie's bedroom door creaked open as she left her room. Winnie's mouth went in a small 'o' shape and then to a huge grin. She then bolted to her fathers, jumping into their arms.
They both made an "Oof!" Sound as they still were, and (most likely) always be fairly unfit.

the rest of the day was a blast, they went to see a movie, ate cake, opened presents, and it was a generally nice day.

Winnie's fifth birthday.
