Part 97：Indiscriminate Attack

Just as Elder Wu and Jiang Fan were preparing to leave the venue, Professor Holt turned to President Austin and said,
"President Austin, I suggest detaining Jiang Fan and his computer. There must be evidence of him stealing others' academic achievements in that computer!"

In truth, there were two reasons why Professor Holt said this.
First, Jiang Fan had successfully solved two of the world's most difficult mathematical problems. It was possible that there were other significant mathematical discoveries in his computer.
Second, given Jiang Fan's monstrous mathematical talent, Professor Holt wanted to bring him to the United States to serve his country. If Jiang Fan refused, he would simply be imprisoned for life. If the United States couldn't have him, no other country should be allowed to either.

After a moment of reflection, President Austin understood Holt's intent and immediately turned to Jiang Fan.
"Jiang Fan, you are now suspected of plagiarizing foreign academic work, so you cannot leave France. You must remain here until the investigation is complete."

Jiang Fan firmly refused,
"I am from Dragon Country. You have no right to detain me. The computer is my personal property, and I will not surrender it."

Elder Wu knew that if Jiang Fan were detained here, he would be at the mercy of others. He had to get Jiang Fan out of this place no matter what.
Even if Dragon Country was expelled from the World Mathematical Organization, there was still hope for them to develop on their own, thanks to Jiang Fan's exceptional talent.

"President Austin, I reiterate that Dragon Country has not plagiarized anyone's work. The World Mathematical Organization is merely an organization. You have no authority to detain anyone."

President Austin knew that the World Mathematical Organization was simply an international body with no real power to detain people or seize property. However, at that moment, Professor Holt whispered something into President Austin's ear.

Austin, after hearing Holt, turned back to Elder Wu and the others.
"While I do not have the authority to detain you, due to the serious accusations of defamation against Professor Holt, I do have the right to hand you over to the French authorities."

"We are from Dragon Country. If you have any issues, please contact our embassy," Elder Wu responded, fully understanding that arguing was futile. It was obvious that Austin and Holt were working in concert.

"Jiang Fan, let's go!"
Elder Wu then led the group to leave immediately. They knew that if the French police arrived, they would be in serious trouble. Once detained on their soil, no amount of justification would help.

"Security, stop them! I've called the police!"
President Austin shouted to the nearby security guards. Two large, imposing guards, standing closest to the group, received the order and quickly moved towards Jiang Fan and the others.

To the guards, these Dragon Country nationals seemed weak and defenseless. They were sure that subduing them would be no trouble at all. As they reached out to seize Jiang Fan, Leikun swiftly stepped forward and blocked them.

The two guards exchanged mocking smiles. A short young man dared to stand in their way! They grabbed Leikun's arm, intending to subdue him first. But no matter how hard they tried, they couldn't twist his arm. The strength in his body felt like steel!

With a couple of loud thuds, the two guards collapsed to the ground, unable to rise again.

None of the onlookers had seen Leikun's move. Within seconds, the remaining six guards arrived, wielding batons, and without hesitation, began to strike at Leikun.

Three seconds later, all six guards were sprawled on the ground, motionless.

Leikun then returned to Jiang Fan's side.

Everyone was utterly stunned by this scene. The rumors that Dragon Country people knew martial arts seemed to be true. The way Leikun moved, with fluid grace and deadly precision, left everyone in awe.

"We're leaving!" Elder Wu said, and the group swiftly exited the building. They were in a foreign country, so caution was necessary.

Once outside the conference room, Elder Wu immediately called the Dragon Country embassy.
Du Hongchang, the head of the embassy, was furious when he heard that Jiang Fan was being detained by France. He immediately dispatched the embassy's security team to assist Jiang Fan.

Before Jiang Fan even arrived in France, the high-ranking officials of Dragon Country had already contacted Du Hongchang, stressing Jiang Fan's importance and instructing him to protect him at all costs.

Du Hongchang, aware of the gravity of the situation, quickly reported to the country's upper leadership.
The leadership, understanding Jiang Fan's critical role, immediately alerted the highest levels of the military and launched a first-tier national emergency alert.

"Jiang Fan, our nation's future, is being pursued by local French police at the World Mathematical Summit..."
The leader briefed everyone on the situation.

"That's right!"

Everyone was taken aback. The severity of the first-tier alert hit them hard. Jiang Fan was still responsible for overseeing the national controlled nuclear fusion research base in the northern part of Dragon Country. If he could not return, the fusion project might not be completed, and the country's technological rise would be severely hindered.

One of the irritable generals roared.

After listening to the analysis, the leader paused for a moment before slamming his fist on the table.
"As long as we can ensure Jiang Fan's safe return to Dragon Country, nothing else matters. Even if it means going against the world, we won't hesitate!"
