Chapter Seven:
A Girl Is A Gun
-

It had been a slow couple of days since Levi had showed us the box that was full of pages of letters with random characters and numbers sprawled on.

We had all worked on a page each, trying to decipher the meaning of each number and letter, but all three of us were stumped.

We decided to take a page each to study in our room, but in the days that had passed none of us came up with an idea of what they could mean.

I gave my paper one last glance, staring at the words that made no sense.

SK(110318)HS, GFR(130318)HA, LK(200318)IC, TY(010418)HS, HF(170418)DC,
PK(290418)LB, RD(290418)LB, GF(300418)SO and so on.

I had no clue why these papers were so damn important to Jeno Degrassi, and the harder I looked at them the harder it was to understand.

I folded the paper up, and tucked it into my dressed before looking at myself in the mirror.

My hair was nicely tied up with a claw clip, with a tight black zip jacket and black leggings and a pair of new balance shoes.

I gave a small nod of approval before leaving my room, heading towards the gym where all of Levi's and Ares men will be, ready to start their training.

It was first day back properly training and pushing my body to its absolute limit.

I couldn't help but feel a little nervous as I walked into the dark gym where twenty men stood facing Ares who was in the middle of his speech.

"So glad you could join us Mila." Ares says in the mits of his speech, drawing all eyes on me, cursing myself for being late.

I walk besides a guy I hadn't seen before, hoping to blend into the crowd, ignoring the glaringly obvious fact that I was the only girl in the room.

"As I was saying," Ares spoke up again, gaining all attention back on him letting me breathe a sigh of relief "We have a new starter with us today, Mila Garcia, I expect you all to be welcoming." He said with warning, commanding the room like a true leader.

"Training should continue on as usual, just with an extra body in the room. Mila as you can see, we have different sections around the gym, we have-"

"You expect us to train with her?" A guy with ginger hair spoke up, looking around at the other guys for approval.

"Is that a problem?" Ares warned, glaring at the man who dared to speak and the men who nodded their head in agreement.

The man looked hesitant to speak under Ares glare but he still somehow mustered the strength to talk back.

"She's a girl." He stated, looking bewildered that no one else had spoken up.

I felt a ball of anger start to grow inside at the mention of my gender, and I know if he had known my true identity he wouldn't of spoken out with such confidence.

"Thank you for stating the obvious Aidan. I didn't know it was your first time seeing a woman besides your own mother, but trust me, she ain't gonna eat you." Small chuckles break the silence in the room and I could see Aidan was getting physically annoyed.

"She's a weak link, and you expect me to just let her join the team like she won't get us all killed." He said, visibly angered by the situation.

"You think just because I'm a woman I'm automatically weaker than you?" I bite back, staring daggers at him.

"It's a biological fact, men are always stronger than girls." He argued the same point many men have said before, and some men around the room nodded their head in agreement, but too afraid to speak out.
