TRUE TO HIS WORD, as soon as the sun fell, they started their journey. The group of seventeen (now nineteen including Aaron, and his friend Eric) all piled into the two vehicles. One was a regular car, while the other was an RV. In a way, it made her think of Dale, back when things seemed much simpler.

Jules held a flashlight in one hand and a book in the other, sitting on one of the cushioned seats in the RV. The only ones in the car in front of them was Glenn, Michonne, Rick, and Aaron. Who, by the way, still happened to be tied up. A new addition to the group was Eric, and Jules couldn't find it in her to dislike the man, either.

"What are you reading?" a voice questioned the girl, and she looked up to see Tara, who had been sitting next to her. Jules flipped to the front cover, the title in bold cursive lettering: Emma. "Never heard of it. Is it any good?"

Jules glanced at Tara, her eyes wide as she stared at the woman in disbelief. "What? You've never heard of this?" Tara smiled, shaking her head. "Have you heard of Jane Austen at all? Pride and Prejudice?"

Tara looked away, pretending to be in thought. "I think I've seen the movie."

"Then you'll have to read this when I'm done. I can't believe you," Jules said, feigning disappointment as she shook her head disapprovingly.

Before the conversation could go any further, the brakes were slammed. They had lost track of the car in front of them because of a large hoard of walkers. They had to change pathways, instead driving somewhere they could stay and wait for the rest of their group to meet up.

Eric had broken his ankle, and they were forced to find refuge in an old abandoned warehouse. After shooting a flare in hopes of alerting Rick and the rest, they lit candles and sat outside of the warehouse. Jules sat across from where the RV was parked, heart sinking in her chest as the minutes passed.

They had driven straight through a herd of walkers, and with a regular car like that, it wouldn't have made it through the entire herd. The thought worried Jules as she nervously picked at her fingernails, waiting for them to return: if they returned.

A whistle sounded throughout the alleyway, and Jules's attention was immediately taken away from her dirty fingers, and instead to the four figures waiting for them. Daryl, who was the only other one outside, waved them over, tapping on the window of the warehouse to let the rest of their group know Rick, Glenn, Michonne, and Aaron had returned.

As everyone reunited amongst themselves, Jules noted the lack of bindings around Aaron's hands. He must have earned their trust one way or another, and that gave her more hope for this supposed community.
