Chapter 1

~ jj pov ~

' To going full kook' i rose my beer bottle in the air. The others repeated my words as they brought their bottles up in the air aswell. We all sat around the bonfire behind my house, the chateau no longer existed and we rarely did bonfires anymore so these moments that reminded me of how we used to be were the ones I cherished the most. My eyes traveled around the flickers of the flames, i watched as sarah laughed with john b and pope and cleo talked to each other with their hands intertwined. My eyes then landed on kiara. She was smoking a blunt. I watched as the smoke came out of her mouth. Her eyes locked with mine and everything around us felt like it stopped moving. We had kissed a couple weeks ago and i had told her i loved her which felt amazing but i knew she wanted to have the 'what are we' conversation and i was dreading it. I mean she's my best friend and i really don't want a relationship ruining that. My thoughts were interrupted by a very drunk sarah causing us to break eye contact.

'TRUTH TIME' she screamed. Sarah loved playing this game called truth. It was basically truth or dare but no dare. It was stupid but she loved it.

'Alright john b you first' i said

'Would rather be back with us before all this gold stuff or here right now' pope asked. John b didn't even take a second as he turned his head towards sarah and spoke

'Here right now for sure'

'Jj your turn' sarah said

'Bring it on'

'What was you favorite moment from all of this' kiara asked me. I looked at her and thought about it. I wanted to say when i kissed her or the minute i heard the words i love you leave her mouth. But i couldn't.

'Oh jumping off the bridge with the bike for sure,no doubt' i said with a cheeky grin. Everybody stared at me with a really jj kind of face because they were all pretty worried that day. Cleo broke the silence

'Well i personally like getting the gold'

'Amen to that sister' sarah said. I took a small glance at kie and saw her stare at me for a bit and saw her laugh at something sarah said. Maybe i didn't know what was happening between us but damm was she gorgeous. It actually made my heart hurt a bit. She turned to look at me and i felt my stomach do a somersault.What on earth is that feeling.
