The bell jingled as Janiya and Sofi pushed open the door of "Brew & Bliss," the aroma of coffee and freshly baked pastries welcoming them. As they try to find where their friend is they hear a loud, enthusiastic voice called from across the room.
"Ladies! Over here!"

There sat Mirelli, waving dramatically, a sight for sore eyes after a year apart. She had commandeered a cozy booth near the window, already halfway through what looked like a triple-layer chocolate cake.

"Whoa, Mirelli, did you start without us?" Sofi asked as they slid into the booth.

Mirelli shrugged, unapologetic. "I've been here for 20 minutes. Did you expect me to wait and stare at this masterpiece?" She gestured grandly at the cake. "I mean, I missed you guys, but priorities."

Janiya smirked. "Glad to know we rank just below dessert."

They ordered their food - sandwiches, pastries, and enough coffee to fuel a small country - and settled in. The conversation flowed effortlessly, as if no time had passed.

"So, Sofi," Mirelli began, leaning forward. "How's life in the UK?.

"Good" Sofi said in an exhaustive tone thinking about the work.

"What about you, Mirelli?" Janiya asked. "How's Canada treating you?"

"Oh, Canada's great!" Mirelli said. "Except for the time I tried to shovel snow in -20 degrees and nearly became a human popsicle. But hey, I've perfected the art of saying 'eh' like a local."

Sofi gasped. "Oh no, it's happening. You're becoming one of them."

They all burst out laughing, drawing curious glances from other patrons.

As the conversation turned nostalgic, they reminisced about old times - the sleepovers, their chaotic group projects, and that one time Sofi when Sofi cut her call just because she was staring at her crush

*Flashbacks*
Mirelli's Call
Mirelli tries calling Sofi. She doesn't pick up. A few seconds later, a text message pops up on Mirelli's screen:

Sofi's Text: "Sorry, it is not convenient for me to answer your call right now."

Mirelli rolls her eyes dramatically, muttering to herself:
Mirelli: "Convenient? Girl, what's so inconvenient?!"

Mirelli dials Janiya, who answers immediately.
Mirelli: "Hey, what's Sofi up to? She just ignored my call and sent me some formal apology text like she's in a meeting with the president or something."

Janiya:Oh, she's definitely busy. Busy spying on her crush from across the street.

Mirelli: "WHAT? I called her to talk about my life crisis, and she's out here living in her rom-com fantasy?"

Janiya laughs, walking toward the window. She points outside:
Janiya: "Yup, there she is. On her toes trying to get a glimpse of him like she's in a spy movie."

Sofi gasps and looks at the phone. She turns to see Janiya
Sofi groans and whispers:
Sofi: "I'm never living this down."

"Sofi right now: Priorities on point."

Sofi replies:
"I hate you both."

Mirelli responds:
"Not as much as you love your crush, clearly."
