Clarkes' pov

I wake up to a throbbing pain in my head. My eyes are still closed and when I try to move I can feel pain shooting through my whole body. I scream out in pain and finally open my eyes.

At first my vision is blurry but as it gets clearer I can make out the siluette of a big man with broad shoulders and more muscle than I've ever seen on another human being. He looks scary and I try to scramble away but another wave of pain shoots through my body and my vision darkens as I let out a pained cry.

„Moving na nou dula op yu eni good. Yu souda rest. (Moving will not do you any good. You have to rest.)" His voice sounds kinder than expected but what language is that? Not knowing what I should say I stay silent.

„Fisa don biyu yu na na ku en yu na get au kom bag raun hashta thri days. (The healer said you will be okay and you can get out of bed in about three days.)" Again this weird language. It sounds a bit like English but not quite. Before I can say anything, he speaks again.

„Kom chon kru are yu? (From which clan are you?)" The man looks at me like he expects me to answer. Did he ask me something?

„I'm sorry but I can't understand you." He seems surprised at that. Maybe he doesn't speak English and we won't be able to communicate. I really have a problem here.

„You speak Gonasleng." It's more a statement than a question. I guess Gonasleng is what they call English now. Well, at least I can speak with him.

„From which clan are you?"

Wait. There are clans? I must have said that aloud because now a scowl is to be seen on his face.

„Yes. But from where are you that you don't know that? And why don't you speak Trig? How did you even get hurt like that? You almost died."

Okay, that was a lot but I will have to start to explain soon because even though he doesn't seem to be hostile he still is a bit scary. Especially with those scars on both sides of his head. They look like they were made on purpose but why?

„I am Clarke Griffin and I was send down here in the capsule because they wanted to save me. I don't know what Trig is but I guess that's the language you spoke in before and to answer your question, we don't speak that on the ark. My escape pod must have had a malfunction and that's why it crashed."

The frown on his face got deeper the more I spoke.

„What is the ark? And why did you need saving? Who wanted to save you?"

As I hear his last question I have to think about my parents and tears start falling down my cheeks. The man seems to be completely lost on what he has to do but soon decides to come closer. I try to scramble away once again but I can't. He's now kneeling at my side and opens up his arms.

Without a second thought I throw myself into his embrace. Well, as best as I can without being able to move much. And he closes me in with the warmth of his body. All of a sudden he doesn't seem scary anymore. I feel safe in his strong arms just as I felt safe in the arms of my dad. Just when I think that another wave of sadness comes crushing down on me and the last bit of the dams that kept my tears from soaking his fur coat completely broke.

I can't feel anything but the soothing warmth that radiates from the mans' body and his arms around me. I feel strangely comfortable with breaking in his arms although he is someone I just met mere minutes ago.

My shallow breathing begins to regulate when I hear footsteps and the man lets me out of his embrace before turning around. In the tent flaps stands another man, a guard perhaps, and starts speaking.

„Artis, haiplana gaf in chich op yu. (The queen wants to speak to you.)" And with that the man, Artis I think the guard called him, makes his way out of the tent.

Artis' pov

„Naiplana (My queen)" I say as I bow deep before the ice queen.

She motions me to stand up. Her gaze is cold like the deepest winter and a shudder runs through my body before I avert my eyes to the floor.

„Yu don dig au chon dei de gada ste en chit em gaf in? (Did you find out who that girl is and what she wants?)"

„Sha. Em don biyo em tagon ste Klark Griffin en dei de em don kik raun somewhere called ark. Em also told ai dei de em was send daun hir by someone gon kep klin em ba ai nou get in by chon. (Yes. She said her name is Clarke Griffin and that she lived somewhere called the ark. She also told me that she was send down here by someone to save her but I do not know by who.)"

I pause, thinking about if I should say what I think or not.

„Speak bilaik hod daun. (Speak your mind.)" Guess I don't have to think about it anymore.

„Em seems gon jos na a strik gada. Ai nou fig raun em could cause eni bash op. (She seems to just be a little girl. I do not think she could cause any harm.)"

At that her eyes get an intensity I can't hold and I once again look at the ground.

„Ai na ban op dei de bilaik decided by Heda. (I will leave that to be decided by the commander.)" My head snaps up and I cant help myself asking. „Heda na kom op hir? (The commander will come here?)"

„Sha. Em don biyo em gaf in gon hit op gada dei de fell kom skai. (Yes. She said she wants to meet the girl that fell from the sky.)"

„Ba naiplana, oso nou get in taim em really fell kom skai. Ai yu don nou ai op em fall. Mebi em was already der en got hit by dei de box. (But my queen, we don't know if she really fell from the sky. I did not see her fall. Maybe she was already there and got hit by that box.)"

Normally I would never speak up at the ice queen but when the commander comes here and finds out that the girl might not have fallen from the sky like our first heda, she will be furious and we just got into the alliance a few months ago.

„A scout chon was au dei de nat came bakon an hour after en informed ai dei de em don dula ai op em fall kom skai without eni possible misunderstandings. (A scout who was out that night came back an hour after and informed me that he did see her fall from the sky without any possible misunderstandings.)"

„Gada was au gon tu weeks en jos woke up. Ai fig raun oso should nou stress em au gon much. Em seems bilaik distressed en a confrontation na nou dula op em eni good. Forgive ai naiplana ba ai don trana. (The girl was out for two weeks and just woke up. I think we should not stress her out to much. She seems to be distressed and a confrontation will not do her any good. Forgive me my queen but I tried.)"

If her gaze could kill my body would be burned by now to set my soul free.

„Whether yu like em o nou heda ste ona em edei en na hit op skai gada. Nau get au kom ai sight fou ai yu don yu beheaded. (Whether you like it or not the commander is on her way and will meet the sky girl. Now get out of my sight before I have you beheaded.)"

Without waisting time I get out of the throne room as fast as I can without being impolite.

Longer chapter today. I hope you like it. I think I will try to upload on a daily basis but I'm not sure yet. I guess I will just kinda go with it and see where the story goes and how I can time writing with school and stuff.

Lexa will get here next chapter. I'm really excited to write her. Hope to find you here again soon.
