The plane takes off, soaring above the clouds and leaving behind the familiar. He watches as the green English countryside gives way to the sparkling blue of the Mediterranean Sea. As the plane begins its descent into Italy, the lyrics "Wont you kiss me on the mouth and love me like a sailor" resonate within him.
As the plane lands, He quickly find a quiet spot to make a video call to Valentina. I answer on the first ring, my face lighting up with a warm smile as i see your face. "Hey, amore," I greet you, My voice filled with love and longing.
As I look at Cedric's face on the video call, I can't help but feel an ache in my heart, a physical distance that seems to grow with each passing second. 'Be strong,' I remind myself, putting on a brave smile. 'You landed safely?"
I can see Cedric nodding reassuringly on the screen, his eyes crinkling at the corners as he smiles back at me. 'Yes, I'm already in Italy,' he confirms, his voice steady and calm, trying to ease my worries. "How are the babies?'

I laugh softly at the image, my hand instinctively resting on my growing belly. The necklace Cedric sent glints in the sunlight streaming through the window. A small kick against your palm makes me smile wider "Well, you two are certainly full of energy today." Says cedric chuckling
He chuckles at my words, his heart swelling with love and pride. 'I'm sure they'll be stars on the pitch someday,' says cedric , his eyes never leaving my face on the screen. 'Just like their mother. 'I wish I could be there with you right now,'
Suddenly, a sharp pain sears through his leg, and he lets out a scream that makes my face contort with fear on the screen. Blood begins to pool underneath him as chaos erupts around him. The peaceful airport scene from moments ago now filled with screams and panic.
My blood runs cold as I hear Cedric's scream over the video call. The peaceful moment shatters into horrified disbelief. 'CEDRIC!' I scream, my heart racing as my hands fly to my belly, protecting my babies. 'What's happening?" I panic.
CEDRICS POV:
I grit my teeth against the searing pain, my hand pressed firmly against the wound on my leg. The world around me spins into a blur of panicked faces and echoing screams. I manage to gasp out, 'I've been shot... Valentina, get out of the house. Now."
"What about you , Amore?!" Panics Valentina, her protective instincts kicking in as she watches the seen from the screen of the phone with her heart aching.
"I....." Says cedric before he hangs up......
