The next day Subaru opened his eyes on a soft cushion

"Nee-sama Nee-sama, it seems our guest has woken up."

"Indeed Rem, our guest has woken up."

The twin sisters did their usual ritual to greet the awoken Subaru.

Subaru straightened on his bed to meet eye to eye with the maids.

"Greetings... I am Natsuki Subaru."

There was a cold glaze on his voice accompanied with an icy stare that pierce the soul.

Twin sisters hugged each other and trembled.

"Our guest is scary Nee-sama."

"Indeed he is, Rem. Better not make him angry."

Seeing Twin maids so scared gave Subaru a strange satisfaction, even though some of their reaction is a facade.

"Fear not, if you don't hurt me then i won't hurt you. Unless of course... if you are in my way."

"Kowai..."

Their facade was dropped slightly upon Subaru's vague threat.

Subaru chuckled generously.

"No need to be that serious, I was just joking."

He wore a smile that quite reached his eyes. Maybe he was genuinely happy or he was that good at acting. Even he was unsure.

Twins seemed to be relieved a little after Subaru showed some softness.

"We were here to give you clothing for you to attend to breakfast. Our master wishes to speak with you."

Rem spoke in a dutiful voice.

Ram was preparing the clothing for Subaru to wear.

"It's very nice of you girls to consider my needs. But I have no need for it, I'm afraid.

Subaru coalesced his whole body below the head with dark, shadowy clothing.

"Cool..."

Ram muttered under her breath.

A nice trick for sure. I need to thank that man when I get the chance.

"Now, lead the way. I wish to meet your master as well."

Subaru urged Maids to lead the way politely with a smile.

Meanwhile...

Roswall was sipping his tea while reviewing a certain gospel.

Shadow emerged behind him.

"You were expecteeeeed. Oh mighty one."

Figure didn't speak. He simply walked near the Roswall and held out his hand.

"May i?" His distorted voice was stern and cold.

Roswall gave the book with trembling hands.

Figure took the book and turned the pages in a calm manner.

"Ugh...it's like reading a slavery contract..."

He tossed the book at Roswall's desk.

"You..?!" Roswall was engaged. But even he was unsure whether to go against the opponent he was facing.

"My vessel is amongst you. Don't hold back against him..."

Not like I needed to tell you that...

And Fusion disappeared.

"This man..!" Roswall was panting heavily before the door opened. It was Ram.
