Chapter Five: Exploring & Goodbyes
Living in New York was one of the wisest things I've ever chosen to do. There is always something to do - if I ever left my house. There are countless restaurants to choose from - Tell that to Mr.Sai down at the Thai House you regularly order from. Not to mention beautiful scenery considering I live in the city - mind you, I live next to a small factory and there is an alleyway between the two buildings where bums rest peacefully. Yes, I love it here. The fact that I left my window cracked overnight and can smell all of the unwashed bum ass and the factory smoke come into my room at the early hours of morning made me wake up even crankier.
"God damn, please go bathe in a water fountain," I muttered to the bums beneath me while I sprayed febreze throughout my room.
My cell phone starts to ring from my bedside table, my mother calling. "Hey momma," I unintentionally groaned.
She quickly scoffs, "You need to start getting up earlier, Seda. You wouldn't be so cranky. Now," my mother sighs, "What have you been up to? Have you attended bible study this week?"
No. "Yes."
"Good. I know I don't say this often, but I'm proud of you Seda. You might actually be something in this family, because I'm not sure if I have any more hope for Mitchell." She compliments and explains and I can hear my younger brother calling out to my mother, clearly frustrated with her lack of hope. "Oh, by the way you're on the bluetooth in the car so everyone can hear you."
"You on the way to praise J-dawg?" I almost snort at my attempt of a shitty joke.
My mother immediately scolds me, "Seda! What did I tell you about playing with God? You know how I feel about that. Jeez, just when I give you a compliment you go..." and she's off the handle. I set my phone down for a second to spray my room again with febreze while I faintly hear her lecturing me through the phone. When I bring the phone to my ear again my mom talks about her morning sickness, "It's like... really gross. It's gotten so bad, I can't go into Mitchell's room to wake him up for school because in the morning everything about him makes me want to throw up," I laugh at that part while she continues. "I really wasn't planning on having another child, but Marcus' pull out game is sooooooo weak."
"Mom... please stop... talking," I searched for the right words to say without throwing up.
I can hear Mitchell calling to me in the background, "She's been saying this stuff all week! Seda help me!" I can hear my mom and Marcus laugh at him.
"Seda, we've got to go we're going to be late for church service. Love you, bye." She hangs up without me responding. Bitch... but I love her.
While I was making my bed, it sounded like something crashed in the living room. Luke went out to the club last night to drown in his sorrows because he couldn't hang out with us yesterday. I got a text from him really late last night saying he was going to a friend's aka booty call. So, I ran to find out what was going on, and as soon as I opened my bedroom door I jumped, seeing Louis stood right there. As some sort of weird reaction I grabbed my boobs and realized I wasn't wearing a fucking bra.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!?" I yell at him and he jumps.
"WHY ARE YOU YELLING?"
Liam runs around the corner, "WHAT IS GOING ON?!" He yells at Louis, and then looks to me, "WHY ARE YOU ALWAYS HOLDING YOUR BOOBS?"
I didn't know what to do, so I slammed the door in both of their faces. After finding something decent to put on, including that bra, I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth quickly before going into the living room. Louis and Liam were sitting on my couch and I didn't know if I should start crying or screaming, so a weird dying noise escaped my mouth and they looked really confused and even Liam said, "What is wrong with you today?"
