I was walking down the street, excited to go see my best friend, Garret, after a long day of school. It was always so draining to deal with, but it was all worth it to see my bestie every day. As I skipped, I saw a store on the side of the road, and decided to stop by to pick up something for him.
Entering the store, the clerk looked at me and smiled, waving. He wasn't a familiar face, but I was still happy to see someone anyways.
"Hey! Welcome to █████ General Store! What can I get ya?" the Clerk asked with a smile, sitting patiently at the desk. What a nice guy. I looked around for a bit, before spotting a bag of Garret's favorite candy, and I eagerly pointed at it.
"I'll take that one!"
The Clerk nodded and grabbed it for me, placing it on the counter and scanning the barcode, before looking at me. "That'll be $5, ma'am! Will that be cash or card?"
I paid in cash and grabbed the candy, thanking him and skipping out the door, knowing that Garret was gonna enjoy what I brought him. I gently closed the door behind me, and continued walking on the busy street.
However, as I was walking, I was suddenly grabbed and pulled into an alleyway. I tried to yell and fight whoever grabbed me, but my mouth was covered by a hand, and a needle was stabbed into my neck.
My eyelids felt heavy, and I was dropped to the floor, with a feminine, childish giggle ringing out.
...
I blacked out.
