Chapter 6

Brianna's POV
We walked out together and Hayes' hand got into mine.

Seconds after I realized that he was holding my hand.

"Why are you holding my hand?" I said and let go of his

"Because you're pretty cute." He said

"I'm not cute." I said

"Yes you are." He said

I stared at him until we got to the park.

"Stalker much?" He said

"Yeah I am." I said

He laughed and then I went on the swings.

"Brianna? Football?" Shawn asked

I nervously laughed.

"I don't play football." I said and winked

"Come on join us." Shawn said

I walked over there and then got in position on my team it was Shawn, Nash, Johnson, and Cameron. On the other team it was Hayes, Taylor, Gilinsky, and Alec.

I had the better team.

I smirked at Hayes who was in front of me and whispered, "Just so you know, when I win I want a basket of cookies." I said and smiled

"And when I win, you'll see what happens." Hayes said

"Is that a threat?" I said

"You bet." He said

I gave him a death stare and then played.

The game ended and I won.

I FUCKING WON

I was so happy when Shawn scored.

"In your face Grier!" I yelled.

"Whatever." He said and rolled his eyes

I was walking back to the bench when I tripped and fell.

My knee hit the concrete and slid down.

My hands scraped against the concrete and then I got up.

I looked at Hayes and said, "You didn't win but that doesn't mean you had to fucking trip me." I said

I ran back home with my knee stinging and hurting as hell.

I got home with tears rolling down and ran upstairs.

My mom called my name twice but I didn't respond.

I'm so stupid.

Why did I even try beating him if he was going to do this.

Sore losers. Now of course I get a text from him.

H- hello?
H- Brianna, I'm sorry. I'm a fucking asshole
B- K
H- now you're 'k-ing' me?
B- ya
H- I'm sorry I didn't mean to hurt you. Please let me come over.
B- gtg bye.
H- I'm coming over.

I sighed and leaned on my bed.

A few minutes later I heard the doorbell ring.

My mom said "Hayes! Long time no see. Brianna's upstairs."

He opened my door and I was crying.

Wow the tough girl I am, was crying.

"Brianna?" He said looking at me

"What do you want?" I managed to say

He sat down next to me and pulled me towards him.

"I'm sorry." He said again

I looked down.

He raised my chin and kissed me.

I didn't know what to feel or how to feel about this.

I stopped the kiss and said, "it's fine."

He smiled and then hugged me.

My knee was really banged up, black and blue and bleeding. And it hurts like hell.

Hayes grabbed me a glass of water until Shawn came upstairs.

"Hayes. Don't get to close." Shawn said and walked away

"It's okay don't mind him." I said and smiled

"I wasn't going to listen to him anyways." Hayes said and kissed me again
