He honestly wanted to cry. What was happening to him this year? What was wrong with him for fuck's sake?! Even though everyone told him he did well it seemed like he drove like a fucking child in a go kart. Was p17 the only thing he deserved? Probably, if Oscar was able to drag that fucking tractor up to p13. The Aussie was almost in the points while he was almost last. It should be him, him higher in the positions, him comforting Oscar if he needed it. He should be the mentor, like Carlos and Daniel had been to him.

He stayed in his driver's room sulking down until he heard a knock. He walked slowly over the door and opened it to be slightly surprised to see his teammate. He didn't think he would see him before their next PR duties before the next race. He went to the side to let Oscar come and close the door. He knew Oscar was probably going to talk about what had happened last time in Miami and today's result that could eventually cause a similar situation. If they would talk about that, he wanted privacy. He was about to lock the door when his teammate spoke. "Don't lock it, more people will come in a few minutes." Lando looked at with a questioning look. "More?" His teammate simply nodded at him. Lando backed out and sat on his small bed and Oscar followed him.

They stayed in silence as Oscar kept close to Lando. "I know we had a shitty race, both of us, and I also know yours was even worse than mine. After a race I usually talk to Mark on the phone and this weekend he came to the race. So I invited to come here so you could also talk cause you seem like you need too." Oscar said as Lando looked at him. Was that pity? Probably, Oscar just thought he was miserable. But having someone to talk to that knows how it is didn't seem too bad after all.

Another knock was heard and the door immediately opened to Mark Webber as Oscar had predicted. But the old Formula one driver wasn't alone, Fernando in his green Aston Martin gear followed him. Oscar wasn't surprised, he was used to these two always being together. But Lando was, he didn't expect to see the two times world champion in his driver's room after his shitty race. The Spanish driver was racing at home this weekend and he had gotten up to p7, which he could have been celebrating already if it wasn't for him. He felt as if he was using people. He shouldn't be using other people as therapists, especially when they were there for Oscar in the first place.

He scurried to the back of the room and let Fernando and Mark talk with Oscar. The Brit stayed silent as his teammate talked about the race and how he felt. It was mostly Mark that talked with Oscar as the Spaniard kept more to himself. He sat down on the small bed next to Lando and turned towards him. "Are you ok? How do you feel after that hell of a race? And no PR answer." Nando said the last sentence more intently. Lando hesitated before answering, knowing Mark and Oscar were there and he wasn't that close to Nando. "It's hum- it's ok. I'm used to it and wouldn't have been able to do better. The team and I worked hard and- the Aston Martin driver shot him a look. "We couldn't do anything since I got damaged at the beginning by Lewis and that tractor doesn't fucking work!" Fernando smiled slightly at that since he was happy Lando was finally externalising his feelings. The two Aussies turned towards him and Oscar snickered because he was right, that car really didn't work.

"Feels good?" Mark asked Lando after he saw him exhale a big breath. The number four simply nodded and smiled shyly as his teammate. Fernando got up to let the place to Oscar that sat next to Lando. Oscar slipped a hand behind Lando's back and stayed like that while the older drivers talked to them and reassured them both that they did their best. And to obviously text them if they needed anything.

They ended up leaving and the two young drivers stayed alone. Oscar had an idea since he wanted to be distracted after the race. "Do you want to like hang out when we go back to the hotel with a few other guys?" Lando looked at him before smiling. "Sure." Oscar asked him who he wanted to invite and Lando answered with both Ferrari drivers, George, Alex and Logan to stay with Oscar. Lando knew his teammate was an introvert and appreciated staying calmly with his best friend. Lando took his phone and texted in the Quartet's group chat as well as Carlos and Oscar texted Logan. The Spaniard answered immediately and told him he would join them directly after leaving the paddock and the quartet didn't mention any time whatsoever, only food.
