Belgium, Spa Francorchamps

It was the last race of the first half of the season before the summer break. Oscar had had a great weekend overall, probably his best, and had a lot of confidence. He knew he could and would do well. He had qualified P2 in the sprint qualifying and kept that position all race; he was also starting P6 in the feature race. He was sitting in his car on the grid and waiting for the red lights. They flashed before his eyes after a few minutes, and—''It's lights out and away we go, and the Belgian Grand Prix starts with a great reaction time for Leclerc, who's got the lead! And Perez had to jump across Lewis Hamilton. That's a lockup for Carlos Sainz, and he's very close to being tipped into a spin!'' Crofty yelled into his microphone as he described the start of the race. Oscar had a front wing damage and immediately slowed down the pack and up to last by Eau Rouge. ''I don't know what he was doing; he just turned there like I didn't exist.'' He said in his radio as he contemplated the other cars running off. He had DNF'ed the race, and Sainz could continue it like nothing had happened. He was a bit surprised since everything had gone so fast and he'd went from P6 to being called into the pits because of all his damages.

He drove until he got to the garage and got out of the car. He talked a bit to his engineers and apologised for the short race. After changing into normal clothes, which consisted of McLaren merch, he got back into the main part of the garage to watch the rest of the race. He quickly noticed how the number two Ferrari driver fell down the order lap by lap. But he also watched as Lando kept his place. The team had good pace since a few races; his teammate had gotten two podiums in a row, and he had had P4, P5, and a sprint podium. Lap 17, he looked at the standings and smiled; Logan was P9, and he had started P18. He made a mental note to congratulate his best friend on that, even if he'd finish lower. Dragging that Williams up there was a miracle. Lap 23, Oscar saw some radio messages from Ferrari to Sainz transcripted onto the screen, and he saw how Carlos was called in to retire the car. He wasn't happy for him, obviously, but he couldn't say there wasn't a small ping of satisfaction inside of him. The number 55 had made him DNF on the first lap, so seeing him also not finishing wasn't too bad or unfair.

In the car number 4 that was in the 7th slot was Lando Norris, who didn't have much of a better weekend than his teammate. At first he had felt confidence since his excellent results in Hungary and England, but now he was feeling a bit like at the beginning of the year. He wasn't sure he could do it. Especially since his rookie teammate had gotten a sprint podium and was currently sitting in front of him in his own car. He had lost some confidence throughout the weekend. He knew Oscar was good but seeing him beating him all weekend hurt a bit. He needed to get this, for himself and for his team.

He looked in front of him, saw the red lights and sped as much as he could when they went out. He didn't bottle his start and gained a few positions when he saw a contact in front of him. He wasn't sure of who but he saw some red and worried about Carlos. Later on he got some information on the radio and got told his teammate had had a contact and finished the race at the first lap. On lap 23 he was informed his best friend had finshed trhe race esely and was disapointed for him.

It was finally the summer break, and Oscar could finally relax and take a breath. Of course he was happy; he had achieved his dream to become a Formula 1 driver with his best friend, but he was still exhausted. and a one-month break would be very welcomed by everyone. He could go see his family, start relaxing, and hang out with Logan. They had both had shitty weekends, with him getting a DNF and Logan P17. So he would try to hang out with him at the beginning of the break and with Fred as well. They'll reunite FOP (the trio's name from F3 prema). Fred also hadn't had a very good weekend in F2, so they would decompress all together.
