I watched Arohi walk away, her hips swaying confidently as she left me standing there. I couldn't help but feel a pang of frustration. She thought she had the upper hand, but I knew the truth.
I had been playing her all along, using my charm and good looks to get under her skin. And it had worked, beautifully. She was hooked, even if she didn't want to admit it.
But now, she was trying to turn the tables on me. I saw the way she looked at Lucas, the way she smiled at him. It was all an act, a desperate attempt to make me jealous.
And it was working.
I felt a surge of anger and possessiveness. Arohi was mine, and I wouldn't let anyone take her away from me. Not even Lucas, with his smug face and arrogant attitude.
I made a mental note to keep an eye on them, to see how far Arohi would take this little game of hers. But I knew one thing for sure - I would come out on top. I always did.
As I turned to leave, I caught sight of Lucas's smirk. He thought he had won, but he had no idea what he was up against. I was Rayan, the king of manipulation. And I would stop at nothing to get what I wanted.
Arohi was just a pawn in my game, but she was a pawn I was determined to keep. And I would do whatever it took to make her mine.
I watched Arohi and Lucas from afar, my eyes narrowing as I saw the way they interacted. They were pretending to be a couple, but I knew the truth. Arohi hated me, and this was her way of getting back at me.
I made my way over to them, a smirk on my face. "Well, well, well," I said. "Looks like Amore found a new plaything."
Arohi's eyes flashed with anger, and Lucas stood up, his fists clenched. "Back off, Rayan," he warned.
But I just laughed. "Oh, I'm shaking in my boots," I said, my eyes locked on Arohi. "You think this little act is going to make me jealous?"
Arohi's face twisted in disgust. "You're not even worth my time, Rayan," she spat.
But I knew she was lying. I saw the way she looked at me, the way her eyes flashed with anger and hatred. She was still hurting, and I knew exactly how to push her buttons.
"Amore," I said, my voice low and husky. "Don't be like that."
Arohi's eyes widened in surprise, and for a moment, I thought I saw a flicker of uncertainty. But then her face hardened again. "Don't call me that," she said, her voice cold.
I smiled, knowing I had gotten under her skin. "Oh, but it suits you so perfectly," I said. "My hate, my lust, my everything."
Lucas stepped forward, his eyes blazing with anger. "Back off, Rayan," he repeated.
But I just chuckled. "Or what?" I asked. "You'll protect her from me? I don't think so."
And with that, I turned and walked away, leaving Arohi and Lucas staring after me. But I knew I had planted a seed of doubt in Arohi's mind, and it was only a matter of time before it sprouted into something more.
