Thrilled is not the word I'd use to describe how I feel when I find that Zevon has started Blue Moon the following Monday. There's just something about him that I don't like.

Khai, on the other hand, seems excited to see him. This I observe from the way he greats Zevon.

"You're here!" He exclaims. Zevon smiles at Khai warmly, and when he glances at me, I give him a forced smile.

I still don't feel necessarily inclined towards him, but I'm not going to make it unpleasant for Khai either. I care about him and I need to put my feelings towards Zevon aside if it means keeping him happy.

"Good morning, Khai. Good morning, Tyrone." Zevon greats us, raking a hand through his abnormally perfect, platinum blonde hair.

"Good morning!" Khai returns the greeting happily.

"What he said." I grumble.

Okay, I might be a little bit salty about it.

"What class do you have first?" Zevon asks.

"Math. The easy version because I am not smart and Tyrone has too much going on to be smart." Khai explains.

Zevon laughs.

"Honestly, same. But what you said first, too stupid for the harder stuff."

Khai giggles, then clears his throat awkwardly and I already know what he was thinking.

"Let's all head to math together then. I appreciate this, by the way. Showing me around." Zevon clarifies.

"No problem. I just started here not so long ago and I'm telling you, it would have been so horrible if I didn't have Tyrone showing me around."

I figure Zevon's already realized I don't like strangers, because he looks at me doubtfully.

"I... may not have given him much choice at first. I wouldn't leave him alone." Khai explains.

Zevon just chuckles.

I mostly just stay out of the rest of the conversations that Khai and Zevon have and let them chat together while we all get ready for class.

When we get there, Zevon sits by us, too. He takes the chair closest to Khai.

I just let him and don't say anything about it. I should give Khai the opportunity to get to know more people, even if I have a bad feeling about Zevon.

I don't want to restrict Khai in any way, as hard as it is because he's the last person I want to see get hurt.

Zevon sticks to us like glue for the rest of day, or more to Khai. He doesn't seem so fond of me, allowing me to see that the feeling is mutual now.

Zevon even walks home with us.

I split up with them to go to my own home. Zevon only knows where Khai lives yet, and I intend to keep it that way.

***Khai's POV***

I'm sad to see Tyrone go. He's seemed so off today, not to mention that he usually walks me homes first before going home himself. Maybe it's because I'm not alone right now.

I really like Zevon. He's easy to talk to and fun to be around. I don't just want him around while he adjusts to Blue Moon, I want to always have him as a friend.

"What are you thinking about?" He asks me, a smile on his face.

"I'm making expressions aren't I." I say flatly.
