La bamba Ritchie x Fem!reader

Based on the break up scene in the movie. Don't know if I should make a part 2 to this for a happy ending or keep this as a one shit type thing.

It had been a little bit of time since you had seen Ritchie, more so due to him touring to other towns and cities to perform.

You had gotten a little lonely without him so your parents had made you go on dates with multiple guys to try and move you on from Ritchie. To be quite honest, they didn't really like Ritchie so you knew this was them trying to get you over him but truth is, you couldn't.

Yes you were upset with him leaving but you knew he was doing what he loved and that's what made you happy. But there was also apart of you that couldn't help but think he might have been with another girl while he was doing his shows so you did the dates so that you wouldn't be left heartbroken if you had moved on with someone else.

According to your father whenever Ritchie rang he would ask for you but your father would reply that you were out on a date at the time (which you were).

A rapid knocking came from the front door, your Mother answered.

You stood beside your Father as he was in the kitchen diagonal from the front doorway and you could see your Mother talking to someone you couldn't see.

You heard the voice a bit due to it being like a whisper but you knew it was Ritchie without a doubt in your mind.

Your mother shuts the door and walks over to you.

"It's Ritchie, don't leave him hanging you know how your father gets" she said

You take a deep breath with tears in your eyes and wiped them away because you didn't want Ritchie to see.

This is it. The moment you weren't prepared for even if you were.

You walk over to the front door opening it and There was Ritchie, staring straight into your eyes with his chocolate brown ones. He looked frustrated and hurt.

"Hi Ritchie" you say barely above a whisper as you lean against the doorway.

"Are you seeing other guys?" He said his voice sounded angry and heartbroken.

Tears spring into your eyes and you sigh with hurt that you were talking about this at all.

"Yes I've been on a few dates" you say "what's wrong with that?"

He stares at you for a second processing what you said.

"You're my girl" he said with tone of authority.

You look at the ground for a second before looking back up.

"Then when am I supposed to see you Ritchie? I can't come alone to all your appearances with you" your voice raising a little "I mean all those other girls-"

You're cut off by Ritchie.

" I don't care about those other girls" he said. You could see the tears in his eyes which broke your heart.

You stare at him calming down "What am I supposed to do? You don't have time for me anymore Ritchie"

"You want to break it off?" He said. His tone was clearly full of hurt and betrayal.

You turn to look back at your parents. They just looked at you not saying a word. You look back at Ritchie.

You start to cry "Ritchie..I don't know what I want anymore"

"I'll see you around sometime" he said and turned and walked away tears rolling down his cheeks as he did.

All he could think of in that moment was the heartbreak. How would he go on without you.
