"There's just something about red bottom heels. It just seems to give you a huge confidence boost." Stephanie muttered to herself as she stared at herself in the mirror of her bedroom at her parent's mansion.
She wore a tailored blush pink jumpsuit with a cinched waist paired with nude stilettos and gold layered necklace and hoop earrings. She had a cute white bag that she was planning on carrying with her alongside her work bag. Her hair was styled in a sleek, high ponytail with soft waves. She complemented her outfit with a nude lip and sharp cat-eye liner for a confident look.
Steph was nervous, which was a first for her. Normally, she would have the confidence of 20 men for her projects, but this was different. This project could either make or break her career. One thing was for certain, though: there would not be a repeat of what happened years ago. She was going to give her all.
She bounded down the staircase, her tummy in tumbles, and made her way to the breakfast nook.
"Good morning!" She greeted out excitedly.
"Wow, Aunt Steph. You look beautiful." Ryan, Lynette's little boy, said in awe of his aunt.
"Thank you, darling." She placed a soft kiss on his head and headed to the sidetable to dish out her breakfast.

She was preparing to leave when her father's imposing presence fell on her. She turned and saw him leaning on the frame of his study's door.
"My office." He grunted before turning to head back inside.Taking in a deep breath, she prayed for patience. She didn't want to do or say anything that would make him take away this huge opportunity from her. She followed.
Samuel Denvers sat his desk, arms crossed and a no-nonsense expression on his face.
“Stephanie,” he says sternly, “this is your last chance. No slip-ups, no distractions. I need to hear nothing but praise about your work."She nodded.
"Your grandfather and I have placed our credibility on the line. Don't embarrass yourself. Most importantly, don't embarrass the family's name. I want nothing but exemplary results from you." He continued.
Stephanie offered a confident smile, masking the nerves bubbling beneath the surface. “Of course, Dad. You and Grandpa will be so proud."
He didn't smile. Nothing. Just had his permanent scowl on his face as he regarded his last child. As much as he needed to be stern with her, he was also proud. Proud of how she'd maintained herself through her dilemma.

Stephanie arrived at the sleek, state-of-the-art office, her heels clicking on the polished floor, Kara walking dilligently beside her. They were both quiet, both lost in their minds as they made their way to the receptionist."Hi, good morning. The mall project, please. " Stephanie greeted with a warm smile. The receptionist greeted them warmly and directed Stephanie and Kara to the conference room.
Striding confidently, stephanie took in the large table, the wall-mounted screens, and the collection of documents laid out for the team. A few members were already there, exchanging greetings.
"Kara, this is not a dream, right?" She whispered, tears almost pooling in her eyes at the sight.
"It is not," Kara whispered back, "We're slowly going to take back our position."
They both smiled at each other and further walked into the room.Stephanie introduced herself with her trademark charm, and they respond politely but cautiously, clearly aware of her reputation. She grimaced at the reception she was having, but no matter what, she wasn't going yo let them rain on her parade.
