I walked out of the bathroom with the test still in my hand. I walked back to the door and picked my phone up off the table unlocking it. I dialed my moms number hoping she wasn't at work. After about three rings she answered.

"Hello."

"Hey mom."

"Sam, what's wrong? Did something happen? You never call me this early during the day."

"Mom, I'm scared."

"About? What's wrong?"

"I'm late, and when I took a test it had two lines on it."

"Sigh. Okay just try to stay calm. I'll be there in a few minutes. Just sit down and try to stay calm."

"Okay. Can you stay on the phone with me until you get here? I really don't wanna sit in the house in the quiet alone."

"Of course. Have you talked to William about this?"

"I told him I was late when I realized it and I took his keys and drove to the store. There was an old lady who told me where the test were and than when I went to check out kept questioning me about it. It was so weird."

"Yeah, older women are like that for some reason. I'm pulling into the parking space next to Williams car now. I'll be up in a moment. I'll see you soon."

"Okay." We hung up the phone and I kept my spot on the couch. There was a knock on the door. Getting up I went to open the door.

"Hey mom." I said with a slight smile.

"Oh, my baby!" She grabbed me into a tight hug. "We need to do so much stuff."

"Mom, you're squishing me."

"Oh, sorry." We walked into the house and sat on the couch. I handed her the test so she could see. She just smiled and did a high pitched squeak.

"Mom I don't know what to do."

"First call the doctor. We need to set up an appointment so we know for sure."

I nodded and picked up my phone to call the doctors office. After being on the phone for a while I finally looked to my mom.

"The only time they have available for the next four months is today at four. I can't go to that. I have to pick up will from the school at three forty-five. That's when I have to be at the doctors the same time I have to pick him up."

"Well tell him you can't pick him up and to have his buddie that works at the school to drive him home or have his sister pick him up. Honey this is important."

"Sigh, okay." I tell the nurse that I'll be there at that time for today and than hang up. I text will telling him I can't pick him up today because something came up. Which made him text me back kind of pissed off that not only did I take his car, I ditched school, I told him I had stuff to do but not what, told him I could be pregnant, and now I can't pick him up.

"Dear, he's just worried something's happened. Don't take it to heart. Come on we're going out. It's about lunch time and I know you well enough to know you haven't eaten anything today."

I nodded. I grabbed my phone my wallet and the keys before heading out with my mom.
