After walking aimlessly around the city for what felt like an hour she bought a hotdog and some mashed potatoes from a hot dog stand. She hadn't eaten in two days cause she ran out of money before the weekend. She was use to it though.
The flashback did really throw her off. She was feeling like shit and she only knew one solution to that problem. She started walking to her friend Tony's house. If you can call your dealer a friend. She arrived at his flat and knocked a few times on the door, hard. After about two minutes a tall guy with black hair opened the door. He was wearing a stained t-shirt that hanged very loosely on his skinny frame and a pair of baggy jeans which were held up by a belt. It was Tony.
-Hey J, what's up? He greeted her with a weak smile.
-Hey Tony. Truth is that I feel like shit and I could really use some help for that. I got money this time, she answered him. The times that she didn't have any money she always offered Tony something else. It usually involved, lap dancing, hand or blow jobs or strip teasing for Tony and his gang. But never sex. That was her only rule. She did these things even though she felt sick to her stomach everytime she had to. Cause when she was lonely, sad or upset the only way she knew how to fix it were by taking pills or drinking.
-Well come on in then, princess, he smirked.
His place looked like a real crack head apartment. Dirty clothes, empty beer bottles and cigarette butts everywhere. She moved away some junk from the couch, sat down and took out a cigarette pack and a lighter from her worn down denim backpack. She shook out a cigarette from the pack, lit it and brought it to her lips, taking a long drag.
-So, what do you got for me T? She asked him as she took another drag.
-Two strips containing twelve pills each, that oughta get you through this week, eh? He asked as he threw down the two strips on the coffee table.
-Yeah, that will do. How much? She asked as she stubbed out the cigarette on a dirty plate that was placed on the coffee table.
-For you princess, 50 bucks, he answered her.
She started rummaging through her backpack after her money. She took out 50 bucks, placed it on the table and took the pills. Before she put them down in her bag she popped one out and swallowed it.
-Thanks Tony, see you around, she said and walked out the door.
She found her way down the closest subway station and sat down on a bench outside of the toilets that no one except drunks and crack heads used. She could feel the pill starting to work. Her pain and anger began to float away and she laid down with her backpack as a pillow. Soon she drifted of to sleep even though it was only 7 o'clock at night.
She was sitting down outside of the church as people were passing by, exiting the church. She could hear some of them talking about the funeral, saying how beautiful and sad it was. Soon her mother came out.
-Juliette dear, it's time for us to get going to the reception. We don't want to be late when we are the ones hosting it, her mom stated.
-Of course we're hosting it. It's our family member that just got buried, she answered in a harsh tone. She didn't mean to sound so rude, she know that her mother was hurting too. She just couldn't control her temper when it felt like her whole world had come crumbling down.
-Juliette! Don't use that tone with me, you're just making everything worse! Her mother snapped back.
She obeyed and stood up. Her father joined them and they started walking towards the car.
Half an hour later her family and the people who attended the funeral sat around tables placed around the big room. A mic was passed around so their friends could share their condolences. It was their neighbour Ms. Franc's turn.
-To start out I just want to say that all of my thoughts goes to the Sawyer family today, not only to the remaining members but also to Aidan. I could have swore I heard his laughter this morning. It feels like he's still with us..
And that was when Juliette snapped. She stood up and interrupted Ms. Franc.
-Well guess what? He's not! He's dead. He's fucking dead! So don't start with any of that crap cause each and every one of us know it's a lie! I'm sick and tired of you telling us that it's going to be alright and blah blah freaking blah. Fuck you Ms. Franc, fuck all of you! Juliette screamed and rushed out of the room. As she did, she caught eyes with her very prude mother. The look in her eyes said five words. "You are dead to me."
Juliette ran outside and took a cab into the city.
Juliette suddenly woke up. She sat up and shrugged. As to shake off the bad dream, or rather, the memory.
~MYSTERY POINT OF VIEW~
He walked down the stairs to the subway and took out his phone to check the time. 21:54. His subway was arriving in two minutes. He leaned against the wall, waiting. He looked to his left and saw a girl with long blonde hair, probably the same age as him, sitting on a bench outside of the toilets. She looked pretty beaten. She was wearing a pair of jeans that got ripped showing of her knee cap, a t-shirt with some print on it, a black, long trench coat and a pair of worn out, black converse. Wait a minute, it couldn't be? Before he could think about it he yelled out:
-Julie? Juliette, is that really you? His heart was beating fast as he approached her.
She noticed him and he caught eyes with her. He could see the hurt in her eyes. Oh yes, that sure is Julie, he would recognise those big brown eyes anywhere. Within the second she got up and ran. She ran past him and onto the subway that left the second she got on.
Ooooh, cliffhanger! Who's that guy and why did Juliette run away from him? Whaddaya think?
I hope you like it so far, I have so much planned for this story! And don't worry, this IS indeed a luke fic, he will come in later:):) btw, I'm from Sweden so if you find any grammar or spelling errors my excuse is that English isn't my first language
