Chapter 4 | "HANG OVER? MORE LIKE HANG ME OVER A CLIFF AND LET GO"

NOVA' POV:
"Get the fuck up Nova!"

I let out a loud groan, slapping my hand on my head. "Shut up!" I snapped, pulling the pillow over my head to block out the light that was shining through the window of the bus. I heard a snicker causing me to flip whoever it was off.

"C'mon sleepy head, I'm hungry so that means you're coming with me and eating." The voice, who I know recognised as Ryan, demanded.

"I'm not hungry." I lied, but not for the reason you may believe, I just would rather sleep, my head hurts too bad. "Get up now Nova." Ryan gritted out. "Ugh, fine!" I huffed, sending my pillow at his face. "Thanks!" He smiled sarcastically, throwing the pillow back at me. "Mhm...fucker."

After getting ready I walked to the front of the bus where Jenny and Johnnie were playing COD on the Xbox, the van already trashed. "You guys have made a mess already. I swear if I find a mouse or roach in here you guys are getting kicked off." I mumbled.

"Ooh, someone has a bad hangover." Johnnie laughed. "Hang over? More like hang me over a cliff and let go." I mumbled with an eye roll. "Noted." Steamo mumbled, walking out from the little kitchen space we had in the van with chips stuffed in his mouth, hand in the bag for more- wait! That could be a good lyric...hand in the bag for more, I'm writing that down.

After taking out the notepad I always carried around with me for these types of occasions me and Ryan were out of the door and walking through the dry grass (which was still weird compared to the snow and dampness of Minnesota) to the catering area where all of the food was provided. As we walked the short five minutes we were joined by Justin Hills, Danny, Eric and Sammy. Sammy and Justin were talking about the first show, which was tomorrow (totally not freaking out...), while Danny and Eric walked beside me and Ryan, Eric with his arm thrown around me and Danny on the other side of me.

"Finally! I am starving." Ryan dragged out as we reached our destination. I rolled my eyes at his dramatics before going to find myself a table to sit at. "Where are you going?" Eric asked with furrowed eyebrows. "To find a seat." I replied. He shot me a look before asking; "You're aren't going to get something to eat?"

"Do you care to get me something? I'm not picky. Thanks!" I said quickly with a smile and kiss on his cheek, not giving him a chance to refuse before I was leaving to find a table. I thought I wasn't gonna get a table for a second, 'cause there were literally no open ones, they were all full, until I heard a voice.

"Yo! Nova, come sit with us!"

Turning around to the direction of the voice I saw Vic, with a goofy smile on his face, sitting at a table with two other people- Tony and Jaime -who all had matching smiles on their faces. I smiled back at them, going to sit at their table. There were eight seats around the two tables that were pulled up against each other to make one, three out of the eight occupied by the boys from Pierce the Veil. I sat in the first chair that I saw, which just so happened to be by the man himself, Tony.

"So, what are you guys eating?" I asked with a smile. Yes, I could just look on their plates but I was trying to be nice and start a conversation! They invited me over, I can't just not talk to them and sit awkwardly. Tony smiled down at me before gesturing to his plate. "Street tacos and chocolate pudding - which is actually good, surprisingly." He explained. "'Surprisingly'? What's that mean?" I asked, genuinely confused. "I've never had it before now, and I thought it was like jello, y'know? But it's not, even though it is."
