The Good King

'No Regret'

The sky went gray as the season changed and the weather kept getting colder. 

The five were happier, doing their training and putting their everything into learning the use of each and every weapon as much as every way possible to kill a man.

While they knew their beloved ones were safe, nothing else mattered. 

The years went by and they stood in front of Theon who announced their acceptance, the five were a top secret and only few knights other than the king knew of them.

"Am so excited, tonight will be our first mission"

Rose shouted happily.

"I heard we will be granted a huge amount of gold if this one is a success"

Alex added.

"Am a little nervous, I did not think each of us will have a separate mission to do"

Evan said expressing her true feelings.

After all they did get close spending all of their time together.

Yet their leader seemed so out of it, he was worried and lost himself overthinking it all, until Mirai's voice woke him up and brought him back to reality.

"LEADER!"

"Don't call me that"

Venator replied.

"What are you thinking about?"

Mirai dodged the complaint and asked his question.

"Am just wondering what kind of missions would be admitted to each on of us"

The hunter spoke his truth. he did not eat to worry the rest of the team but he did not want them to be so hopeful and end up disappointed.

"I think spying is a possibility"

Mirai answered.

"Maybe we will be the bodyguards of the princes"

Rose said.

"I hope not"

Alex replied.

"I personally think we would fight some bad guys, we became so strong, did we not win against Theon"

Evan said.

She knew he went a little easy on them but a win is a win.

"I hope your guesses are right"

Venator said, before he got up right after spotting the king's advisor heading towards them.

"Good morning, congratulations on making it this far, the king would like to assign each of you for a mission, kindly follow me"

Ivor said, as he walked heading inside of the palace, followed by the five who were mesmerized by his beauty and low voice tone.

"Wow, the king's advisor is so handsome"

Rose whispered.

"He is not"

Alex replied.

"Quiet"

Venator interrupted.

Once they made it in front of that room's door, they noticed that there was no single guard all the way there even though it was the throne room.

In the middle of their awkward silence, Ivor's smile did cheer them up.

"Follow me inside please"

His words were not so expected, after all each one of them would be assigned to a certain mission.
