The next morning, Sera was already awake when I stumbled into the Vault's main chamber. She was standing near the glowing symbols, her expression distant.

"What are you looking at?" I asked, rubbing the sleep from my eyes.

"Nothing," she said quickly, turning to face me. "We need to talk."

"That sounds ominous," I said, trying to ignore the knot forming in my stomach.

"It's about the Keepers," she said. "They're not just after the Key. They're after you."

"I figured that much," I said, crossing my arms. "But why?"

Sera hesitated, her gaze flickering to Arion, who had just entered the room. "Because you're more than just the Keeper. You're the Key's anchor. Without you, the Key is useless. But with you..."

"With me, what?" I pressed.

"With you, they can control everything," she said, her voice low. "The Key isn't just about power, Melody. It's about balance. Creation and destruction. If they take you, they can tilt that balance in their favor."

"And what happens if I don't let them?" I asked.

"They'll destroy you," Sera said simply. "Because if they can't control the Key, they'll make sure no one else can."

The weight of her words settled over me like a storm cloud. "So what do we do?"

"We fight," Sera said, her tone resolute. "But we need to be smart about it. The Keepers are relentless, but they're not invincible. If we can find their weakness, we can stop them."

"And how do we do that?" I asked.

Sera exchanged a glance with Arion before answering. "We go to the Harmonic Nexus."

"The what?" I asked, frowning.

"It's the source of the Key's power," Arion explained. "A place where its energy is strongest. If we can reach it, we might be able to sever the Keepers' connection to the Key."

"That sounds... risky," I said.

"It is," Sera admitted. "But it's our best shot."
