Very long. Sowwies

Avi POV

I drove back to the house calmly, not in a rush. I knew I had enough time to get ready for this little gathering for Kirstie and Jeremy's wedding. Hm, I wonder when he's gonna have a bachelor party, I'd really enjoy that.

But I swear if he says anything about that wedding..

I finally arrive at my apartment complex, calmly cruising towards the parking lot. I found my special parking space, and hopped out the car. I then unlock the door with ease.

Closing it behind me, I turn around to have clothing thrown at me. They slid off my chest, to the ground.

"Kevin what the f-"

"We aren't playing pool, it's a pool party!!!" He panicked, walking down the hall to his room. I looked down at the clothes, noticing what they were now.

I picked them up, heading to my room, which the drawers were open. I sighed.

I turn to close the door to get dress, but Kevin barges through. I stumble back a bit, wide eyed.

"What now??" I say, annoyed.

"Put this on," he says pulling something out of his back pocket.

Oh no.

"Oh, hell no Kevin. I'm not a make stripper. Plus, your not wearing it either. So.." I trail off as he held the dragon print speedo in my face.

He sighed, letting his hand go limp, I chuckled, then gesturing for him to move get out. "Your fixing my draws when we come back." I yell, as I pull off my shirt.

"Fine!" You could hear the smile on his voice. I just lightly shook my head.

*~*~*~

We both walked down to the car, side by side. If we had started holding hands, we'd look like a couple.

I signaled for Kevin to get in the driver's seat this time, just because.

As he started the car, I took the black, thin scrunchie and proceeded to put my hair in a bun behind my head. I then turned myself to grab my seatbelt, pulling it across my body, as Kevin did right after me.

"Safety first," I mumbled, hearing the click as it buckled.

"Says the guy who's had like...what, 4 speeding tickets in the last month?" He laughed his signature laugh, and I glared at him.

"Says the man who drives slower than the slowest mammal on earth." I chuckled.

"But I am a much safer driver." He commented, putting the key in.

"Yea whatever." I scoff playful, causing another laugh to escape his mouth.

The car reverses as we head down to the pool party. I look out the window, my mind lingering about that guy. He was so interesting. I wanted to know more about him. At least a name. He was so sassy, with a melodious laugh and voice, which I might comment was very unusually high, not a bad thing. Maybe it's like having a deep voice. But what would I know?

His face could not be forgotten. It was stunning.

I feel a tap on my shoulder. I turn around to face Kevin, who was looking at me suspiciously.

"What did you buy?" He asked.

"Shouldn't you be driving?" I asked, pointing towards the wind shield.

"Red light." Kevin says as he points in the same direction I did. I shift in my seat and look at the bright glowing red lights that illuminated the inside of the dark car.
