Stay With Me

*Electra's POV*

I yank my switchblade from the stomach of the woman Tobias sent with me. Her eyes are wide as she sputters with blood in her mouth. I stare straight into them as I plunge my blade back into her stomach.

"You shouldn't have held me back, bitch," I whisper as I watch the light fade from her eyes.

I pull my blade out and wipe the blood on her shirt before kicking her off the cliff she brought me to. She never planned on taking me to the bank. She wanted to kill me.

When she showed me the video of Tobias torturing my girl, she laughed. And that didn't fucking sit well with me. Rhea is mine. And mine alone. While Tobias is right that I like to hear her scream, he's wrong about one thing.

I make her scream with pleasure. Not to torture her.

I turn my blade onto myself and use it to pull the bullet from my side. I groan in pain while I pull it out and drop it off the cliff. Then I sigh, wrap a torn piece of my shirt around me, and tie it tight over the wound.

Knowing damn well I need stitches, I don't give a fuck. Rhea is more important. And Tobias made a mistake sending me that video, because now I know exactly where they are.

And I'm going to fucking kill Tobias.

*half an hour later*

I walk into the warehouse and look around silently. Tiptoeing around the corners of each room until I get to the one I'm looking for. When I find Tobias sitting in a chair in a room, bouncing a stupid tennis ball with one hand while he stares at his phone, I press my gun to the back of his head and cock it.

"Fuck," he sighs with a smug smirk.

"Yeah. You shouldn't have sent a video if you didn't want me to know you brought her to the fucking place you brought me once. Did you touch her?" I ask.

"I kind of had to-"

"Did you rape her, Tobias," I ask through gritted teeth.

"No. I saw the bruises and decided to have fun with her instead. After all, she likes being tortured doesn't sh-"

I pull the trigger before he can finish. He's lucky he didn't touch her. I would have cut off his dick and fed it to him. I shove the gun back into the waistband of my pants and stare down at his lifeless body.

It's about time my uncle got what was coming to him.

When I hear Rhea's scream, I run through the building to the room he has her hanging in. I see her struggling against the rope around her wrists, swinging through the air while she cries. She's breaking down. Unable to control herself anymore. The fear has taken over her body.

I rush to the lever on the wall and let her down slowly until she's lying on the ground. Crying. Begging to not be hurt anymore.

"Please, please, stop," she whispers.

"It's me baby," I say as I rush over and cut her hands free, "it's me. I've got you, babygirl. I've got you."

"Electra," Rhea cries with realization.

"I have you. Hold on," I say as I pick her up and run with her in my arms out of the building.

"Electra," she cries again in pain.

Her body is freezing cold. She's shaking. No doubt going into shock. I curse myself. This is my fault. I never should have introduced her to my world. Not with Tobias lurking around.

I put Rhea into the back of the car and cover her with a thick blanket. When I get in she starts to fade.

"Rhea baby I need you to stay awake!" I say urgently as I speed away.

Rhea grunts in pain and I'm thankful to hear her conscious, even if it's from pain. I find a tear trailing down my cheek as I drive.

"Stay with me babygirl. Stay with me," I say.

She's lost a lot of blood. The bastard didn't even cover her shoulder after he shot her. He just left it open for her to bleed out slowly.

"I'm...tired," Rhea whispers faintly.

"You can't sleep baby. Not yet. Stay awake okay? I need you to stay awake," I reply.

More tears flow down my face as Rhea loses consciousness. She stops responding and I can't hear her as I drive.

"Baby wake up. Rhea! Wake up!" I shout as I pull up beside the door of the ER.

I jump out of the car and scream.

"Help!" I shout as I pull Rhea from the car and run inside with her.

Doctors take her from my arms and I reluctantly let them put her on a stretcher. I run with them towards the operating room only to be stopped by two nurses.

"You can't go back there," one says.

"I'm not leaving her!" I shout as I fight against them.

"You can't go! You need help too," the other says.

"Fuck helping me she needs me!" I shout.

"Then let's get you patched up so you can help her! If you don't get stitches you'll bleed out and you will die. You can't help her if you're dead, honey," the woman shouts at me.

I look at her eyes and she nods with urgency.

"Come on. Let's get you fixed up," she says.

Sighing, I allow them to lay me on another stretcher and wheel me into a room, transferring me to a hospital bed while they cut open my shirt and get to work. When they pour alcohol on my wound, I'm suddenly groaning in pain as I'm reminded that I was also shot.

Even through the pain, my only focus is Rhea. She's my only priority. She has my attention.

She's mine.

But I recognize she needs someone else too.

"Damian Priest," I groan through the pain.

"Is that a friend you want me to call?" The nurse asks.

"A friend of hers. In my phone. Please, call him for her. Tell him we're here."

The nurse nods and leaves the room. I know Damian will hate me for this. No doubt tell Rhea to leave me behind.

But he's not taking her from me. Not now. Only she gets to decide if she leaves. I'm not one to give up. Tobias was the only one who knew the truth about me. Now he's dead. Damian might not care about that detail, but I do.

I just hope Rhea makes it through this. I don't care if she hates me. I need her to pull through.
