Jack's POV
Lauren wants to marry me, ME! Jack Johnson! I promised her I would ask her for reals, like on one knee, and propose. I never promised her when though. I already had a ring on hold for me at the Jewelers, all I had to do was go get it and propose to her tomorrow. So that's what I'll do. I'm going to buy the ring today. But how am I going to get out of the house without her knowing? I know!Lauren's POV
After we finished our breakfast, Jack showered and came back, promising me he'd watch my favorite movie with me, How to Lose a Guy In Ten Days. When he got back, his hair was perfectly scruffy, he was in a pair of basketball shorts and a Vans tee shirt. He's never looked cuter to me. I was just excited to cuddle with him on the couch.
I grabbed a big blanket and sat in the couch while Jack put in the movie. Once the movie started, and he was comfortably next to me, I started craving some rice cakes always peanut butter. I had no idea why, but they sounded delicious! So Jack went to check if we had any rice cakes.
"Hey baby, you're not gonna like this news, but we don't have any rice cakes. Actually, we've never owned rice cakes. I've never even heard of them. Want me to run to the store and back to get some?"
"Jack," I replied, "what on earth would I do without you?"
He kissed me and left, I guess I'll just watch the movie by myself for now.
When he got back the movie was over and he looked really excited. I took the bag of rice cakes and put them in the kitchen. As I was pulling out one of them I saw him return back downstairs, still wearing his basketball shorts and Vans tee, but he was also wearing a really nice red tie.
"Lauren." He got down on one knee and pulled from his pocket a box the same color as his tie.
"Will you marry me?"
Tears filled my eyes again, and I hated when I cried in front of him, but right now I didn't care! He opened the box and I saw a tear fall from his left eye, also.
I walked towards him, wiping away little tears, and nodded my head.
"Of course I will marry you, Jack!"
I held out my hand and he slipped the ring on my tear-soaked finger. Never could I ever be happier. He then lifted my shirt and started talking to the baby.
"Did you hear that, kiddo?" He kissed my baby bump. "We're getting married." Then he put my shirt back down and rubbed away a tear from my face. He kissed my cheek, then my forehead, then my lips. I kissed back. Then he lifted me up, still mid kiss, and I wrapped my legs around him. He took me to the bed, layers me down, and kissed me over and over. This day couldn't have been any better.
