Ch. Three: That Special Luck

○○Omega's POV○○

Ironically, right after I said this, I got a call from Loki. Which doesn't happen often cause he knows all, sees all, which is ju- Sorry got distracted. Anyways, I answer him with a "Hey, Loki. Whatcha need?"

(A/N: bold is Loki's response)

"Just wanted to know. Did Commander Brian mention anything about leaving with camp or something like that?"

"No..." I hear him groan.

"Great. Just... fantastic."

"Whats the situation over there? If its freaking man eating flowers, th-"

"No, Omega, come on this is serious. Nobody, and nothing alive is here." He pauses, the sound of doors opening fills the silence. "Nothing."

I stiffen. Oh no... Bad, bad, bad. "Loki, leave."

"But I haven't even found anything about why-" He started.

"Loki. Now." I was getting concerned. I hope I was wrong about what was going on there...

"But-"

"Luke, I am not kidding. Get the hell out of there right now." I knew that I would have to pay for that later, but I wasn't in the mood for protests.

"Omega, start explaining what is going on. " He growled, a little mad at me.

"I don't think that the Archanes are working alone. I'll explain when you g-"

"Shush. Som-" He was cut off by a sickening crack, the phone dropping to the ground. I was just about to shadow jump there when I realized: I had no shadows.Not good. Not good at all.

Wait... someone was saying something...
"...have some bait for the commander. Shall we head back-"

"Shut it. Don't you see he was talking with somone?" Someone picked up Loki's phone, the faint sound of something being dragged away, which I had a bad feeling was Loki. With a voice I knew, but this was not a good voice to know. "Hello, Commander Omega. Remember me?"

"Jahat Duine" I spat. "Ledious leader"

"Wow, don't you sound thrilled!" Jahat chuckled. "Sweetheart, I know I was cheating, but you str-"

"Don't even try to play that game with me..."

"Alright, alright! Here's the deal, Omega..." He paused. "I'll give you the lovely Lieutenant, if you agree to take his spot. You do remember the lovely Siumpa Temples, don't you?"

"When and where?" I asked without emotion, my old scars that covered my arms suddenly aching.

"Right where this all started. I look forward to see you again, Ni-"

I threw my phone against a wall, refusing to hear that- that cursed titled... I gave it up, I gave ALL of that up... Leaning my back up against the wall, I looked up to see storm clouds closing in. It had been so long, I was beginning to get used to my little dream life. Now it was starting to crumble, but I could never let someone else get dragged into this mess... Not this time.

"...Commander?" I heard a soft voice not far from me. I looked over to see Lalia slowly walking up to me. "Is everything alright?"

Lalia... Now, she was something else... No, I didn't fancy her, she just seemed so simple, yet she was still so mysterious. "...Yeah, yeah..." I responded, running a hand through my hair. "Just a bit stressed out."

"Omega..." I looked up at her, suprised. First time she actually used my name. "There is something wrong. I can tell. Where..." She stopped and looked around.

"Where's Loki?" I finished her question and pushed myself off the wall. Lalia faced me again.

"Did something happen to him?"

I opened my mouth to respond, but I couldn't. I couldn't lie about a thing like this again. Stuttering, I tried to explain, "I - I'm sorry... I couldn't- no, I didn't get him safe in time. They got him." I dropped my head, looking at the ground. "It is my fault."

"No." She lifted my head up to look at her. "It isn't. Just... Just tell me what happened. Please. I can help."

"No, Lalia, this is my own fault. I let me guard down and they saw the chance to get me back." Her deep brown eyes searched mine, trying to find what to say. I stepped away from her and started walking back to the Council House. "Please don't get yourself into it... I can't lose you, too."
