Sky's POV
The second I walked into that room it went silent. Everyone turned to look at me and I could sense that most of them were werewolves including the teacher.
"Didn't your parents tell you that it's rude to stare?" I say threateningly to the room. I told myself a little over a while ago that since I always move cities I might as well have a bit of fun and get myself a bit of a badass reputation. After I said that everyone simultaneously turned their heads back to whatever they were doing.
"Ahhh, you m-must be Sky Hood the new girl" The teacher nervously stammered. "I am Mrs Timothy and I hope you will not be causing this class any trouble.
"I wouldn't dream of it" I reply, mock saluting her.
There is only one seat left in the back row and the girl who seems to be my new desk mate is obviously trying to hold back a laugh. I walk over and sit down.
"That was amazing! No one talks back to Mrs Timothy!" The girl whispers.
"Wait, you're not scared that I'm a rogue" I ask in wonder because I can tell that she is a werewolf.
"Nope" She says popping the p.
"But I'm a rogue!" I say emphasising the rogue bit. "Wont your alpha be really mad?"
"Probably but I'm always in trouble. Oh and my name is Katie Williams, what's yours?"
"My name is Sky Hood and I am always in trouble to"
Katie giggled and leaned closer towards me.
"Sooo, HAVE YOU FOUND YOUR MATE!?" She practically screams in my face.
This is a bit awkward because being only half werewolf I don't get to have a mate which sucks.
"Um, no?" I say with a questioning look on my face.
"Me neither" She says rather sadly. I automatically feel jealous that she is allowed to have a mate but I can't!
Stop it Sky your being selfish, at least you can shift! Some can't even do that! Lilly tells me.
Your right I am being selfish.
Even after my wolf's pep talk I continue to look sourly at my book that I'm taking notes in.
A few minutes later thee bell goes and I'm free. I quickly stuff my books into my bag, say a quick bye to Katie and rush out of class. I pull my schedule out of my pocket and read it: Ancient History, Honours Chem, Art, English and P.E (Which is gym for people who don't live in Australia). I actually don't mind my schedule except for the honours chem part. Who in their right mind would put ME, the girl who has failed almost every single math and science test that has ever put in front of her?!
I sigh and start walking to the science lab which unfortunately is on the other side of this city of a school.
During the walk which lasted at least 10 minutes, no one tried to ambush me or terrorize me into saying why I was here which deep down made me quite depressed.
I walk into class only for the teacher to tell me that I have an assigned spot. And guess where I sat.
Next to the alpha. The same alpha who earlier on today who tried to kill me but failed.
This day just keeps getting better and better.
I walk over and sit down. He had his back facing me so he hadn't seen me yet but the second I sat down his posture stiffened and it was evident that he had smelt my scent.
He whirled around so fast that I swear I got whiplash.
"What are you doing here" He growls more like a statement then a question.
"Exactly the same thing that you are doing here"
"And what exactly would that be?"
"Trying to pass school" I say waving my arms around me and smirking.
All he does is look at me and then go back to whatever it is he is doing in his book. I swear I saw him smile. A very small smile, but a smile none the less.
"Okay class, please open to page 236 and complete questions 1-48"
There are a chorus of groans from the class but they are silenced when the teacher sent each and every one of them a glare that could kill.
I was so involved with the questions that I didn't even notice when alpha boy over here grabbed me by the arm and dragged me outside the classroom.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?" I hissed at him. If looks could kill he would be 10 feet under.
"I think the question is, what the hell are you doing here?" He spits out. "My pack doesn't take kindly to rogues"
"Look here, my family didn't know that there was a pack here and we certainly don't want to cause and problems so if you leave us alone we will stay as far away from your pack as possible" I spat at him as I turned on my heal and walked out of the school. I couldn't go back, I felt like I was being suffocated in that place.
I sprinted as fast as I could towards the forest.
The second I reached the welcoming cover of the trees I shifted into my wolf, not caring that I had destroyed perfectly good clothes.
My wolf was pitch black except for my eyes which were a bluey grey like my human eyes.
I ran for so long I lost track of the time. I only started heading home when I noticed that the sky was fading from blue to an orange colour.
I walked around to the back of the house shifting and wrapping the robe which my family always left outside around my naked body.
I walked to the door, took a deep breath, grabbed the handle and prepared for the incoming storm.
